The Metro between Newcastle Central and - roughly - East Boldon

I’ve never found anything wrong with Fellgate like, it’s the station I get a lift to if I need to use the metro - or Gateshead if I have to get the bus to the metro station. Pelaw seems a popular stop for scruffy charvers.

We went drinking round Whitley Bay/Monkseaton way a couple of months back and got the metro back into town, now that stops at some proper holes along the north bank of the Tyne in Newcastle’s east end.
Sunderland, tynemouth areas, and Newcastle central are fine

Had loads of bother on it in the past. Usually coming back from the match to Newcastle.

Once had to intervene in a charva harassing a lass. He pulled a knife on me. Shit my pants but went windmilling and the little scrote ran off at Pelaw.

I’ve also woke up at the airport more times than I care to remember after falling asleep on it

Guilty of the airport wake up. More often it was Kingston park

The worst time ever was when the driver woke me up to say the metro had terminated at the airport. Phone was dead and I couldn’t ring the missus to collect me. I was steaming tbf

Started walking through back via woolsington, got right up to Kenton bankfoot before I managed to flag down a taxi.

Was telling the wife the story the next morning and she said “why didn’t you just get one at the airport you fucktard?”

In my defence that’s mild compared to waking up in a random village in ireland after a concert at slate castle. I do have form

Anywhere you will find inspectors, tends to be ok. The problem Metro have is; chavs use the service where they know they won’t be caught.
Isn’t there some sad book page called metro checkies or something

Mine was walking back from Kingston Park to the quayside via the central motorway. Proper spanner still dont know why I didn't get a taxi

Gateshead stadium metro station is rough as there is a big sally-bash place out the back
Used to park round that way when I worked in Newcastle. Had no bother myself but saw plenty of wrong'uns knocking about. Constantly asking for used tickets and checking the tops of the machines.

East of Gateshead on the Metro is horrible. Runs through some really grim places. The Old Fold one of the worst places around serviced by the stadium stop. Felling is rotten as well and Heworth.
Same as going east out of Newcastle on the bottom part of the line through Byker, Chilly Road, Walkergate, Percy Main, Meadow well, North Shields.

A real urban safari
