Best browser...

Just been getting a new laptop and was just wondering what people consider to the best browser these days?

I always used chrome on my old one, didn't really give Microsoft edge a chance but with it being customised for windows 10 it's got me wondering whether or not it'd be better?

Or are there any other decent alternatives? Cheers

Almost definitely the most obscure one that nobody has ever heard of. It will have to be run remotely using Linux from a shed buried under the garden. It will only work in black and white (although can be modified when rooted to be white and black), won't allow searches for 'Apple' or 'Microsoft' and will only access a select number of ultra techy forums (or fora) and the online Magic The Gathering community. Despite its limitations it will definitely be the best and if you don't agree you are a Luddite who shouldn't be allowed electricity.

The only other alternative is to buy a MacBook and use Safari.

Chrome or Firefox, in terms of being widely used, having sites designed with them in mind and access to most plugins etc..
Aye that's kind of what I'd figured like, Microsoft edge looks canny but dunno if you can get the likes of adblock and stuff on it. (not for use on this site mind ya)

Have you been sniffing glue?

That'll be Tor then ?

If you don't like Google tracking everything you do but like Chrome then Comodo Dragon is the same thing but with the trackers removed. However, you lose the facility to do image based searches.

Opera has a built in VPN if, like James, you might want to watch our matches.

I've used chrome and Firefox for extended periods, but I now use Opera.

Few reasons.
I want the same browser for desktop and mobile, they stay in sync
Chrome is awful for mobile
Firefox is so slow these days. Even edge beats it for media streaming

Opera is pretty good, and the desktop vpn built in can be handy, and the bandwidth saving on mobile is also useful at times.

As with any browser though, you need to give at least a month to get used to.

Is that the one that's powered by one's own sense of smugness and only shows websites that use Helvetica typeface?

I've never used it, to be honest. Firefox has been around for parrot's years and just works on any OS.

It's set as the default browser on my work laptop. It's shite.

Never got on that great with Firefox tbh. Given a choice I use Chrome, and Safari for the odd thing that Chrome doesn't like
