All this shit about managers not being good enough

This is why whoever is chosen will most likely be dismissed by the majority on here. We have to face facts in that we are skint, there will be no huge name coming here and even if we signed a decent manager, he's got a right pigs ear of a squad to sort out.

Anyone expecting an immediate return to the Prem are more optimistic than me. Three seasons at the earliest.

That makes me more optimistic than you :) (or f***ing stupid as my dad keeps telling me)

Bruce was a good manager for us. If Allardyce hadn't left last summer we would have finished mid table or slightly below this season.

Bruce was nearly a good manager, that game against Chelsea was brilliant, but then remember what happened the game before

Sam did a great job, his greed has ruined him, I think he has retired, unless someone offers him more money

Whoever it is will be given a chance. Doesn't mean we can't have an opinion or preference beforehand though.

He is shit and has only managed in xxxxxxxx isnt really a valid opinion though

The 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane?

In your opinion.

I thought it was the 5-1 at the shit hole

We beat Stoke 2-0 the game after that. We actually went on a 4 game unbeaten run after the 5-1 which included games against Spurs, Chelsea and Everton before losing to Wolves in typical Sunderland style.

Sadly for Bruce he was a dead man walking after the 5-1.

Did you google that or remember?

My excuse would be I drank myself into oblivion and can barley remember anything around the time of the 5-1, even the actual game

Agree with the 1st bit apart from highlighted.

No reason why we can't cobble together a decent enough squad to get us back up in the next year or 2 max...

We will still be a draw to players due to our magnificent support, the SOL & AOL...

Every club of a similar or slightly smaller has a flash academy now.
