Same sex marriage

The name is remaining so who cares.

I do think it's wrong to be bigoted when it comes to same sex marriage. I don't think it is so wrong that your achievements ot accolades should be erased.

The main problem is the legal system. There are so many rights that a spouse has that a mere "partner" doesn't have.

I'm 100% pro same sex marriage. Love is always better than hate, and loving relationships should be celebrated.

However, people are entitled to different opinions. Provided someone expresses their opinion without spewing bile and hate, then they shouldn't be judged for it.

Tolerance and understanding has to work both ways.

Is it really so wrong that some people can still believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, or is it open season when anyone doesn't comply to the prevailing mindset?

I don't think her holding an opinion like that should be enough to have her name taken off a court given her achievements in the sport. Wimbledon has made the right choice. There are some things that people could say and do that would be enough to take them off though.

It's quite a separate point though to start talking about "people believing in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman" which is completely nonsensical and doesn't stand up to the least scrutiny.

both sides are bigoted though are they not.

the definition of a bigotry is to not entertain an opposing view.

end of the day is it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve
