Are we going to get fucked over the fee for Pickford?.

Unless finances have somehow magically turned around, or there is a takeover, then the club need income to pay off interest and debt.

£10 million and upwards and he'll be sold in my opinion.

20m including add-ons would be the most we can get in my opinion. I think he has a really good chance of going all the way to the top but at the moment he is still mainly potential to people outside of Sunderland AFC

We need to get as much cash as we can in any deal because lets be honest if Pickford fancies a move away to further his career he will go, it's up to Bain etc to get the best deal we can for him

Stoke signed Jack Butland for £3.5m and he is probably a better keeper. 10-15m is decent for Pickford tbh.

He'll go for between £15-£20m, fans will blame Bain because Siserker went for £30m, whilst conveniently ignoring the market for goalkeepers.
How many goalkeepers have moved since the new TV deal came in last year? Only Bravo moving to Man City really, so £17m for a shit 33 year old appears to be the current market for goalkeepers.

Well times haven't changed yet or there would be more expensive keepers

Times haven't changed just because you say so

In a world we got £10m for Whikham we can get £30m for Pickford. In my opinion. Which to be honest means nowt, as does yours or indeed anyone's on this board as it's all just guess work. We'll get what we get, if he leaves, and even then we won't know what we actually got as we don't report the details of our transfers.

Mag

It's Ellis, he will get a hard on and accept the first offer for about £5m
When Short told Quinn and Bruce to start balancing the books he asked if the deals for Hendo and Mig were good uns. He was told they'd nivver get a better offer for either. Hendo had to be pushed out of the door anarl. Short was fuming when Hendo started playing for England as he thought we'd been robbed.
Hopefully he'll remember that when the bids for Pickford start coming in.

:lol::lol:

30 million?! He's been in the team for 90% of the season that's limped to relegation. We are financially in the shit and if he stays he could end up in the wilderness for a few years like David Stockdale did.

The lad will want to play Premier League and will have England aspirations. We're financially fucked and over a barrel. Everton and West Ham will be looking for goalkeepers. 15 million is about right

I disagree. A 33 year old Bravo went to Man City for £18m. Pickford is better and has twice the longevity so I don't think £30m is unrealistic in the new world of transfer fees since the new tv deal kicked in.

Fat fingers..

He has a release fee clause in his contract.

And when he does go the fuckers on here throwing figures of 20 + million about will have a meltdown.

You have been warned
I find that hard to believe; wasn't the last contract he signed when he hadn't even played a Premier League game for us, or had maybe played one?

We're not though. He's under contract until 2020 so we should hang on for a ludicrous fee.
