Yes he was. He was dreadful. Basic passing from him is very poor and often its negative. Only players that came close to looking as poor today was Borini.

true but he has been crap since bruce decided he could play central midfield alongside catts.
nothing against him as i am sure he is a model pro and its not his fault he is starting games, but its just soul destroying watching him and the likes of jones playing regular first team football alongside many marginally less crap players.
i think what annoys most is that he was dosghit against Palace and because we won, people were making out how pivotal he was with his work off the ball which is utter crap. ive seen better players in league 1 this year than larsson, and indeed league 2
kirchoff is another waste of space but for different reasons

hopefully get the german and catts fit (and bigger hope they stay fit for the rest of the season), i love seb and have liked him as a player for years but watching him now is pitiful.
his free kicks and corners are terrible now, he chases players but cannot keep up with them never mind tackle...if some of our other players would take his work rate we would be a (slightly) better team and at this stage of the season any improvement could reap rewards, now i am not making him a scapegoat as the lad gives his all when on the pitch but as i said weeks ago he is well off the pace of the game, i just wish a couple of the rest would show the same eagerness.

Away to Arsenal when we drew to stay up under Advocaat, he played on with an injury when we had used all three subs and still harried the opposition. As far as "abysmal" is concerned, I have seen a number of abysmal players at Sunderland over the years and he's not one of them.
