These redundancies - part-time/casual affected?

As I understand it, there may be redundancies whether we are relegated or not, presumably as part of Butcher Bain's remit.

Would that include matchday stewards and catering staff? I mean are they classed as employees or casual? I can't imagine they'd be on much more than minimum wage for a few hours in most cases. Normally this type of employee would be first to go, but safety stewarding is much cheaper than policing costs and the profit from over-priced pies and pints must cover the folks serving.

Is there not a rule that states that you have to have a certain amount of stewards per size of ground or something? As in one steward per 20 people or something like that. If so they cant make them redundant I guess.

They were happening regardless and were in admin, ticket and commercial areas.

If cuts need to be made they need to be made. What annoys me is that Adam Mathews has probably played 90 minutes for us and will earn millions of pounds from us. Remove him and you could keep the staff and make a bigger saving. Obviously this isnt a dig at him but we sign too many players who dont play. If it was up to me, id have 2 players for each position then after that we use the kids. Its tough if Moyes dosent think they are good enough.

Quite possibly, hence I my asking. I hope they keep a few ticket office staff for away tickets rather than online or telephone purchasing.
Got to keep a few front of house staff in the ticket office. There's still plenty of folk like you and me fatha who like to go in and have their tickets in hand.

Am I wrong or were there less stewards at the Southampton game, there did look to be less to me.

Rangers fans warned us about Bain.

He is now the emporer.

He's removed who he can and set himself up as Chief Exec on a board with 2 puppet directors and an absent Chairman.

Total control.

Can you not buy away tickets from the club shops?
No, only in person at the ticket office. Online and telephone sales are available to purchase remotely.

That's right marra - even if it's only to complain to Vanessa that the tickets the awayday before were crap:lol: aye, I don't get out much ;)

Can't say I noticed, Vic. Too busy looking up to the heavens above in a  fashion tbh.

Never mind, a nice win at Goodison and we'll be reet :lol:
