Ross Stewart

Always been a fan of his but this is a c***’s trick imo, leaving on a technicality.

No, it's not on a technicality. Spyhampton had months to trigger ( or otherwise ) the one year option.

Being the pond scum they've shown themselves to be, they likely hung on to see if they got promotion and lots of £££££million, then they could opt out and spend big on a striker.
Instead, they messed up and it could well be in LND's hands as to what he does.

If he can get a move elsewhere with a nice signing on fee plus decent salary, then good luck to him. I'd imagine a few Championship clubs could be tempted despite his injury record.

I wonder what the likes of Ross, Jack Clarke, Josh Maja even, think about the choice they made to leave first chance they had when they see where we are now.

I'd imagine the signing on fee's they all got means no regrets at all but God, what bad footballing decisions they were for all of them.

Clarke left when we finished 16th can’t blame him or Stewart

Ross Stewart unequivocally made the right definition and that’s been borne out with his dreadful injury luck.

Clarke had a very decent season last year at his level, he’s not a PL winger.

Maja made a stupid call purely on the basis that he could have got a better move if he’d been here longer. Still took us about 5 years after he left to surpass his level.

There’s a theme with all of them, they’d not be good enough for us right now and would have been peddled as such whenever that was.

I think Stewart would have scored more than 6 in this team like Wilson did

I reckon Jack Clarke would have been better for us in PL than he was for Ipswich.

For all he scored goals, think a fair few were penalties, looks like he started only 23 matches & another 23 as sub.

He’s went from being the main man in a team that got promoted in the same season he left to a lad that’s in the bench every second week.

Shame did him, but I reckon if he’d had his time again he’d have stopped. Funnily enough, left wing has been one of our more problematic positions this season.

Confidence player, isn't he?

Was gutted when he left us for a team like Ipswich just cos they were in the PL when they were always gonna come straight back down.

Was never gonna make that big an impression in a struggling team.

On the other hand though, just imagine Talbi for 60 mins then JC for 30 against a tired full back or vice versa.

Plenty players do well in poor teams

To another certain extent
The managers who turned us down before we got RLB
Liam Rosenior & Will still

Definitely dodged two bullets there 😎
