You can understand why he's available for 20m when you see his wages.

Good player, but you could get 2 good players, maybe even 3 when you add up what he'd cost over the course of his contract.

Rashford must know he needs to take a huge pay cut if he wants to play at a decent team. Who is gonna take a punt on him after his last 2 seasons. Pay as you play or performance related (or both) I reckon.

It's October 6th 2012 and I just looked at that season as I wanted to know if it was Howe in charge.

After the defeat they sacked their manager on the 12th before the next game and then Eddie Howe came in. They then won 10 and drew 3 of the next 13 and ended up finishing 2nd with a record W23 D6 L6 (5 of the 6 defeats where in a row). They were 10th in Championship and then went up as champions the season after so some canny turnaround.

They're not. But given SCR rules I think many can see the wages he's on would absolutely eat into any budget we have. It's probably akin to 3 quality players for us.

His wages don't match his output, that's why and 29 early in the season on those wages and his standing there's no real possibility of a sell on.

If Barca sign Gordon on similar wages and it goes well they could possibly sell at profit to an English club in a year or two.

And Villa had lost CL football, there was never realistically any chance of him signing permanently there. It doesn't mean he isn't a good player.

For those who can't count, that's over £20m per season.
Now, if he's free, could he be worth more than that in resale if he played a full season or 2 here? Could actually be worth it.
Especially if we could get that wage down a bit.

Would probably want £10m signing fee though.

Certainly a step up on our current wide attack? Could be another "Xhaka" type transfer that makes a sizeable difference to our season.

Don’t necessarily disagree about the pay cut, but what do you mean “pay as you play” or “after his last 2 seasons”.

He’s played 100 games and scored 26 goals in the past 2 seasons
