Why has Foden gone from hero to zero?

I agree about Foden. Amazing touch and technique but apart from in the best City teams where they have about 80% possession on the edge of the opposition box, I’ve never seen him consistently impact matches
He's a generational talent! He got player of the tournament when he captained England to the under 17 world cup and has played in a superb City team since he was a teenager.

He has lost his way somewhat and can't complain about not being going to the world cup but he's an absolute superb player on his day. He has scored nearly a goal every 3 games from midfield for City, world class numbers.

I wonder if he's got a little bit too comfortable. Seems far too happy to be starting a few then being dropped for a few. Doesn't seem to have that drive that 20 year old Phil Foden had to get on the ball in games and make things happen.

As the Specials would say
Too much Too young

Dont believe there is any evidence to suggest Sterling was high maintenance and fragile ego, certainly not with Southgate ( second most successful ever England manager ). He always spoke highly of RS contributions and ability.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but opinions and ar5eholes etc
He lost form went on loans and it’s only very recently the fragile ego thing has arisen
Yes he is a multi millionaire no doibt but he worked ever so hard and from 17 yo was a pro.
Stress is prevalent throughout society globally
For you to make a sneering denigrating comment to supposedly add credibility to your post does you no credit and is a slight on ALL those suffering the same.

Clearly thats your opinion. May not be shared by everyone but as valid as any other response.
His power has been sapped by his longer hair.
Visits to Turkey can change your appearance i have noticed🤣

He plays for a club that literally play on cheat mode so Im not sure his numbers are that great. Lots of players have disappeared after being promising at under 17s,18s,19s level and it wouldn't surprise me if he never hits those hights again.

I have never thought he was an outstanding player and certainly not a generational talent as you say. A good footballer but wildly overrated in my view.

I certainly wouldn't swap him for Rogers thats for sure.

His numbers are better than Rodgers...

He's been a very important part of that brilliant team at times.

Rodgers is the former Liverpool and Leicester manager.

Rogers however, doesn't play for a team on cheat mode (yet still finished top 4, did the double of City and won a European trophy) so his numbers aren't going to be like for like.

Rogers is a better player than Foden.

Always looks a bit gaunt , shadowy round his eyes and lightweight to me like.

Needs a few cowboy suppers and some early neets then he'll be reet as rain

Interested to see how he gets on under a club manager that isn’t Pep

Largely been very poor for England, people use playing on the wing as a reason for that but I don’t buy into that one but will offer the mitigation that in Euro 2024 he was on a hiding to nothing with very right footed one paced Trippier selected at left back behind him, Foden never being a ‘touchline winger’ meant we were always stuffed for width that side with those two being put there

I think he'll play a lot more with certain players leaving this summer.
Can see it being a big season for him in many ways.

He just isn't and completely different.

Well they were both in the frame for the WC along with Palmer and only one of them got picked. Rogers will most likely start in fact, as he has done in almost all games under Tuchel.

I respectfully disagree with you on this.

Rogers is definitely a better footballer who single handedly wins games for us on a regular basis.
