Cirkin goodbye message

Shame he got injured at the wrong times this season, or I think he had the chance to establish himself in the team whilst Reinaldo was out
Aye I thought he played really well in the first half at home to Leeds and was fantastic against Man City. If (and it's a massive if) he can stay fit then he'd be a fantastic signing for anyone who'll be aiming for promotion next season.

I would have thought that with the extra workload next season and his home grown status, it would have been advantageous to keep him around 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, thanks for the great service and contribution to our extraordinary journey Dennis, wishing you the best of luck and will follow your future progress with interest.
Still a handsome bastard by the way.

Gutted to see him go, part of that journey people have already mentioned and I do think he can make it at PL level if he can keep fit. In the first half of the last championship season he was by far the best LB in the league.

Seems a much more thoughtful and intelligent fella than your average footballer, got the impression his time off the pitch might not have been all injury related.

I really hope he does well in what comes next and has a good environment to help him out.

Denis, what a heart warming message son. I dont think any of us wanted this but times as you say move on.

For me, you will always be Denis Cirkin, our number 3 and you will always be a "Til the Ender" until you die.

A True Legend for our Football Club.

He's made a brilliant contribution, despite his injury record. I think it's probably the right time for him to move on though...just a shame we won't get any fee.

I don't think that he's top half PL material - hopefully we bring in a LB who can challenge Reinildo for the starting spot.

Such a good signing for us. We should never forget the contribution of these young lads who got us out of that f***ing horrible league 1. They put some heart and some balls back in the club. Brave as a lion, was Dennis.

Maybe injuries just held him back a bit, but there shouldn’t be a bad word said about him.

Seems a quiet, thoughtful lad.

Best of luck Dennis, you'll always be welcome back.

What a journey he'd been on with us, League One, 2x Wembley promotions and then Europa League.

As the presence of the some of the old League One squad diminishes, it makes me sad. These were the lads that give us fight, passion and belief back, and dragged the club back up the leagues.

I agree. But if the lad wants to go and play regular football and has decided not to sign a new deal then what can we do

There's a picture doing the rounds this morning of Dennis, Neil, Patto, Roberts, O'Nien and Hume celebrating at Wembley, with the first four greyed out. Gets ya in the feels a little bit like.

That group of players who saw us from League 1 all the way back to the Prem will always have a special place in my heart.
