Cirkin goodbye message


Gutted that he’s leaving. He’s earned the chance to be a backup but it’s a harsh reminder of how times can change in football. He’s been an important player in a team I have completely fell in love with.

I posted on the WhatsApp group chat I'm involved in, that it's always sad to see those players, who contributed & helped to get us to where we are today, leaving the club, but players come & go, and that's just the way football is, especially in the top division, where we just cannot afford to stand still, and we MUST keep upgrading & improving our squad, season upon season, to keep progressing, which means players will move on, and be replaced by better players, more suited to our needs as a top flight club, playing European football next season.


I wish those who are leaving SAFC, well, wherever they end up, and I'm sure they'll be remembered & their contribution & efforts, much appreciated by fans of Sunderland, for their services to the club, and the part they played in helping to get SAFC, from the doldrums of League One, into the Premier League. 👏👏👏
 
Gutted to see the lad go, always seemed to give his all which may have been to his detriment injury wise.
