Europa Home Games

exactly. I would say the vast majority of us would never have imagined us gettin anywhere near this but yet still want to have a twist about paying possible a tenner more than they would for a single ticket against the likes of Plymouth? mind blowing

Twisting it a bit there mind. Were talking about forking out £200 on tickets on top of whats already been paid for ST. Then if a family, you could be looking at £600.
Or howabout complaining about paying £20 more to see a 2nd rate team than champions league finalists, because thats what it is

The point being is that if you cant afford to fork out for all 4, or your at work & cant get holidays for all, then youre more likely to try to get the glamour games over the lesser teams if youre only able to make 1 or 2.

Its no different to normal league games that certain opposition create more demand than others.

Give season ticket holders the chance to use their ticket to buy all 4 games in their seat at a sight discount and make use of the direct debit scheme if that's how they pay. Then sell the 4 game package to everyone via general sale. If a season ticket holder isn't willing to commit to the 4 game package then sell it to a fan who is.

Only after that do you need to sell match by match. The Vast majority will just sign up for all 4 games as they won't want to miss out and selling it as a 4 game package before any matchday sales removes the risk of less glamorous ties drawing smaller crowds.

what do you expect? aye no worries let’s do a family ticket? the price of football now is what it is. clubs are run as business and someone who likes to drop economics into a message board I would expect you to already be aware of this? why should the club allow include this in season tickets - when was the last time this was ever the case?

goin off this then, if it was a fixed price across the board, you wouldn’t be twisting to see a former CL finalist at the same price? or would you expect to pay more on this too?

Err, you're now just making stuff up now. Ive never once said this. My stance has always been a 4 match package ticket which costs the same as ST pro rata.

I know football is big business, but its getting out of hand, and sometimes people need to make a stance. In my view people wont just pay whatever, if its too much of a stretch then the club will have a low attendance. Which is why it needs to be priced correctly in that theyll make more money with a lower price. The benefit of the package deal is that should we do shite, and the last game becomes meaningless, hardly anyone would buy a ticket on a match by match basis.

did I say that you had specifically said that? straight on the defensive.

I’ve said that it would be reasonable that the club would charge a certain amount for these games and if you want to go you will go - irrespective of cost like I said 53 years we’ve been waiting for another go of this and the fact that people have an unrealistic opinion that the club shouldn’t be charging accordingly shows that a percentage of our fb (some who have commented on this post) are wishing for this to be £30? and feel the club should be doin so?

I don’t disagree on the 4 game deals, all I expect to be a lot less than Villa or forest did, but quite honestly the fact that people they have the entitlement to demand a cheap ticket or not turn up absolutely baffles me

People really need to get upto speed with modern day life

Standard pint nowadays £6-7 it is what it is. it’ll £10 soon enough

I would say £50-70 will be home match tickets. I’ll be doing them all

Amazing that the “we want it cheaper because it’s Sunderland” brigade are still applying their micey standards to everything.
Just don’t go.
I think some people are just concerned about the price.
I will be doing all 4 away games as well as 95% of away league games like I have for many a year now.
Plus mine and my daughters season tickets.

….If it’s £50 a ticket for a dead rubber game against BORAC BANJA LUKA then I would seriously have to think twice.

It’s an expensive doo watching Sunderland for an area not blessed with money on trees.

So you think a season card holder who can't attend one of the four should miss out on the other three if someone else who may not have attended a match ever before wants to attend the four and will commit to buying them all as a package?

I really hope we get 2/3 relatively easy home games in the league stage, to hopefully pick up 6 points or more and qualify for the Ko round.

Like Torreense & Derry City for example, then the fans can enjoy a trip to the likes of Milan, Turin or San Sebastian in the away games.

For those who didn't go, it was £50 to go to see Vasas Budapest away in 1973. All inclusive, meet at Roker Park, bus to Teeside, flight to Budapest, match tickets and meal (goulash) after the game, then return to Roker Park 😎

The hospitality suite 'Robin Hood suite' is £1700 😱 doesn't really fit the song about Robin Hood..... 'stole from the rich and gave to the poor' 😂

We used to sing an alternative version about someone we knew. I won’t use his real name I will use Robin Hood.

Robin Hood Robin Hood riding through the glen
Robin Hood Robin Hood with his band of men
Robs from the rich, keeps it for himself
Greedy tw*t, greedy tw*t, greedy tw*t
