The start-of-the-season predictions from across the punditariat showed how lazy most of them are. None of them seemed to clock we bought a whole new team let alone do the work to analyse who we’d got. The only honest answer last August to the question “how will Sunderland do?” Was “I don’t know because they’ve so many new players but the DoF and boardroom have done a great job in previous seasons so let’s see”. Some reputations are now deservedly in shreds and I’ll hazard some careers are even finished.

Mukiele, Xhaka, Reinaldo and Aldarete should have been very easy to predict that they'd perform well, to anyone with the slightest knowledge of European leagues from last season.

Sadiki, Diarra and Roefs were admittedly a bit of a gamble .

Le Fee , Ballard and Hume were clearly going to make a very decent attempt at the step up

I know it's hindsight, but it shouldn't have been that difficult to predict that we'd give it a bloody good go, to any journalist with a tiny amount of background knowledge

It's starting with the bookies, for next season corals have us priced to finish 17th.750/1 for the league when Spurs are only 50/1 and the stinkers up the road only 40/1. Only the 3promoted teams bigger priced.
Yeah this is really weird because the bookies don’t usually get it wrong.
Last season I think we were only favourites to win a game on 2 occasions, incredible

They are not pundits. They know bugger all.

FYI the original pundits were Indian advisors to the Raj. The British decided that most legal cases should be decided by native judicial systems. The problem was that Lord Buggerme couldn't speak or read a word of Sanskrit. So, to aid the colonists on the intricacies of Indian law, local legal experts, called pundits, were drafted in to translate and deliver reason. And provide documentation of outcomes

Absolutely brilliant from the social media team

The stupid Geordie wanker made himself look a right tit. Love it
They’re taking the piss with that.

I absolutely love it. Wonder if any of those who have been included in it mention anything about it.

Brilliant from our media team. Fck off to all the shite no nowt pundits and their lazy fkn cliche ridden shite.

Fantastic that is.

The thing is I bet a lot of that was said in the week after the playoffs. Ofcourse had we had that team we probably would have finished bottom.

Irs like saying hull, Ipswich or Coventry will finish bottom. You cant really say that till you see the players they buy and how they start.

What's mental is that even after we started well. Continued well and got through AFCON relatively well they still didn't give us credit. Even now the bookies are tipping us to struggle next season which might happen but if we sign a couple of quality players we could easily be top half and make them look mugs again.
10 games in and the pundits were still terrified to even consider we might survive in case they looked stupid come the end of the season. How ironic that they all look completely clueless now.

YNOT Agency.

Good set of lads. I know they did the Xhaka pre-game SoL video, and his unveiling video, but unsure if they did this.

Just checked out . Sunderland based. Very impressive
Lots of SAFC snippets on the homepage rolling vid.
