Luke O'Nien

I can't think of many centre halves who could forge a career as a bits and pieces utility player. That's meant as a compliment. If he'd discovered his natural position sooner he'd have played a lot of Premier League football before this season.

Thought the same other week he must be slightly gutted he never played centre half earlier in his career

I long for the day where we can open a Luke O'Nien that doesn't involve phrases like "he might be limited but..." or "he might not have the talent but..."

As much as these folk are trying to compliment him, its an absolute insult.

There is nothing limited or talentless about this bloke and if we had signed him for £20m from La Liga we'd all be raving about how we found a defender with O'Nien's attributes for the price.

He's a brilliant footballer, a great representative of our club and our city and he epitomises the journey we have been on.

Better than that little f***ing shit who won the World Cup and never stops showing people his tattoo even tho he wasn’t picked half the time at Man Utd

it its remarkable and sometimes for him it must be so weird because he will remember the sheer uselessness of the league 1 regime when he first joined and he has been there all the time to see the club transform from the inside...we see the results on the pitch but he will have seen boardroom changes, coaching changes, organisational changes and the culture change
and he will have taken all that in, I think he will do his coaching badges with us as he will abe able to take all that hes seen and with his positive outlook, could make a real difference to young footballers
I hope the bloke who didn't know who he was when he was helping change the seats is still with us!

He's genuinely a more than competent PL defender now imo which is mad to say especially after the first couple of appearances.

Some of the passes he played yesterday were superb which only really Alderete offers out our CBs
Alderete doesn’t spray passes out like that.
