I said on here I thought somebody like Villa would offer us £30m and an instant profit. His numbers are great attacking but his defending is unbelievable for a ‘flair’ player and it rarely gets mentioned. I hope we are fully under his skin as if he gets even better numbers next year really big clubs will be circling.

Hopefully his time at Roma may put some clubs off. He might be a player that does it at certain clubs under the right manager.

Selfishly I hope that but if a top club comes in and offers what we want I’d not be angry at the board. We need to keep some of the stars but the only way to buy more is to sell the biggest at their peak.

That’s the stage we are at in our development. It might be that we need to sell one of our big players to mitigate the impact of the 70% UEFA cap.
 
I feel it was just the accomodation season in the Prem, huge step up. Next season he should be even better.

Statistically he gives toward and Bernardo silva a run for their money across the season. He’s been absolutely brilliant in a team that does t have the embarrassment of riches arsenal or city so
 
Started the season on the bench and has spent a fair chunk at LW too. As we recruit better players to play around him those numbers will only go up.

When he gets a full season playing through the middle I fully expect him to get over 20 goals/assists.

There was a report earlier in the week that we'd turned down 45m from another premier league club
