Home European Attendances

Pricing could be interesting. Personally I’d like to see the club maximise match day revenue. If we could sell out all four home games averaging £50 a ticket it would bring in around £10m in revenue. Add prize money and tv money and the group stages alone could generate £20m plus.

I think a £50 average, wed struggle to sell out. Would expect something more like £100 for a 4 game package. Bearing in mind a couple of the games will be against non glamorous teams

Which is also mental I think. Obviously it’s a lot cheaper per game with a season ticket.

You’re living in the past marra. I paid £1 to see Sunderland win the cup at Wembley, same year I saw David Bowie at the Rink for 95p and had a few pints in the Park Inn at 12p a pint. Things move on. My Wembley ticket last year was £500 and I paid £400 to see The Eagles in Manchester while sipping beer at £6/pint….and I’m as working class as they come. £50 ticket for a top European game is fair and reasonable.

My Wembley ticket was like £68 or something, so for £500 you must’ve been in corporate?

Surely the club will bring back the cup direct debit scheme and we can sit in our own seat. I hope they are sensible with the ticket prices aswell.
I think non SC holders should have the option of buying the same seat for the group stage. Club should be sorting some kind of ticketing scheme out now whatever it may be.

We did have a cup scheme last time we were in the PL.

We didn’t sell out the cup quarters vs Chelsea or the Semi vs Man U though.
Which was ages ago. Attendances have massively changed.

Mags got 14k in the cup similar times and 22k in 2019.

Since then they properly nailed their approach to cup games.

Might point still stands.

SAFC need to take the cups seriously on and off the pitch to get decent crowds.

Sky TV aren’t paying the eagles £165 million for being a touring band and you wouldn’t go and watch them between 19-38 times a season plus cup games.

Comparing football clubs with bands doesn’t work.

Depends how many gigs you go to. I did around 15 last year.
120 quid 4 game package for an adult would be nice. Is it minimum of 4 home 4 away games in Europa league?

It is mate.

The Eagles don't sing live either.

Hopefully the club quickly arrange a SC add on for the Europa games and folk can spread the cost.

As a family of four I’m expecting to pay £500 for the four group matches (£150 each for adult and £100 each for kids)

Aye, gave our season tickets up when I had an issue with my sight (now resolved) so the only way to get them for the play off was hospitality. Got to say though the Wembley Diamond package with inclusive food and drink and great seats was a fantastic experience.
No risk of going out in the first round then? Thank fck for that.

That was the case the last time I saw us in Europe, we beat Vasas of Hungary but lost out to Sporting Lisbon. Bizarrely the home league game against Carlisle attracted a bigger crowd than either of the European games.

Our cup crowds are generally very poor. However, id like to think as this is European football for the first time for many of us that we will get 40k plus for each game. If we play Milan, juve, benfica we'll surely be comfortably selling out, provided they dont go daft with the ticket prices.
