Boros attempt

Just come through Kings Cross on my journey back to Cambridge from Heathrow. Lots of both sets of fans there but all really good natured. Boro lot seemed to be better at negotiating the London public transport system.

Can imagine it is good natured...for Hull its a bonus as they would never expected to be there . Boro cos they have a second opportunity. Good that its two North East Yorkshire teams too

Wasn’t bothered who won earlier, but THIS has tipped the balance in Boro’s favour.

Genuinely surprised you’ve managed to sell out tbh (not as a dig, just with the circumstances). Fair play.

Did it go go Gen Sale/ extra tickets of members to ensure you could move them quickly?

God knows what we’d have done in the circumstances. Season ticket holders first, then free for all or something.
Boro season ticket holder friend said straight to sale no priority

Yeah but it was only 3 days notice to try and get time off work which won't have been possible for quite a lot of them. They'll have a lot more travelling this morning
If I was in their situation knowing Southampton could get kicked out I would have booked time off before it was confirmed. Besides you could do a full days graft and still get down London in time for the Trafalgar party.
A family of Boro supporters about to be interviewed on BBC1, and the youngest kid picks his nose live on TV. 😆😆😆

There is a reason why there is no heart transplant Center in Sunderland. Something in the water (clearly not created by any industry - the city doesn’t have any) has obviously created a birth defect whereby a swinging brick is where the heart in normal people (by that I mean people who live outside of Sunderland) should be.

Anyone who doesn’t have any sympathy for Boro given the times we’ve lost playoff finals and just generally at Wembley graduated from Sunderland Uni with an honours degree in hypocrisy. I was at Wembley when we lost to Charlton Athletic in 2019 and it’s incredible how much hurt was caused for supposedly a League One game. Where were all the detractors of League One football then? How many others were as gutted as I was? And how many fans were utterly devastated when they beat us the first time? Charlton must be the only team to beat another in two separate playoff finals in two leagues. And what about Man City in 2014? And what about way back in 1990 right after the game and before those who were there learned what happened later?

We rightfully celebrate the mammoth effort of last season. But it’s only because our own record isn’t brilliant either. Had the second Sheffield United goal stood, Boro right now could so easily have been us last season. It’s horrible to think how close we came to a 5th Championship season.

Never again do I want success that is a game of 50/50.
