England World Cup squad news

Have you seen who England played?

UEFA are altering the WC and EURO qualification procedures asap because the gaps between the big nations and the smaller ones has become so vast that no one watches nowadays.
The very very small nations are even to be put in a big group where they play amongst themselves with no possibility of qualification until they’re promoted into a big boys division as their presence is a waste of their own time nivver mind UEFAs and the big boys.

Anyone who believes Englands qualification for a finals is any indication of a job well done knows nothing about 21st century football.
I certainly don't the only thing that matters is the performances in the world cup, the qualification, is job done, which why for me tuchels term, begins in 3 weeks time, in how we perform in that first game.
Burn at the World Cup is like me going on America’s Next Too Model
You may win it jack 🫡

Rogers is a bit flash. For England he gives the ball away a lot with poor passing. We tend to only remember the flashy bits. Bellingham is the starter number 10 for me.
The problem with Bellingham, apart from his ego, is that he does jobs that Rice, Anderson and Rogers are specialists in. Jack of all trades, master of none?

Our Thomas is building a team to compete in a specific competition. International football, as we all know, is a different beast to club football. Of one thing I am 100% sure; that Tuchel knows more about football than Maguire's mum. He is being ruthless in choosing players he believes will do him the job that needs doing. I have dreamed of Pep Guardiola being the manager with a fantastic array of talent at his disposal (Foden, Palmer, Bellingham, etc), but hard-nosed reality dictates that someone like Thomas will do a much better job. If we get to the semi-finals it will be a success, but whatever happens I am sure we will compete.
My counter argument to that is Djed Spence

Love it how you immediately go to “he knows nowt about 21st century football”. I never said it was job well done either, Tuchel will be based on tournament results, as is the case with every single manager before him.

Also, not conceding a single goal across an entire qualification campaign is objectively difficult regardless of opposition. One mistake, one set piece, one deflection and the record’s gone. Plenty of elite sides have failed to do it against similar-level groups. If Spain or France did it we’d be wetting our kegs over them.

Pretending qualification means absolutely nothing is nonsense. If England had conceded goals or dropped points, people would hammer them for that too… and the irony is England are now criticised for things they used to fail at, such as controlling games, qualifying comfortably, keeping clean sheets and dominating weaker sides.

Bet you’d love someone like Stevie G or Frank Lampard who has absolutely nothing of value on their CV walking us out to a World Cup instead of someone who has won league titles and the champions league.

Well then I'd have Eze ahead of Rogers. As I say watch Rogers and his passing is poor for England and giving the ball away gets punished at the higher level. Rogers is great running at defenders but watch him when he plays for England and you'll see what I'm getting at
I have to question anyone who thinks Dan Burn should be in the England squad, his presence offends me.
As someone else said he wanted a CB who is left footed and cancelled he a threat at set pieces. I don't think he's anywhere near good enough but Tuchel is as good a tournament type manager as we have had.

Id have picked Palmer personally.

He's had a poor season due to injury- but if he were to find form he'd be a useful player to bring on if were chasing a goal. Direct and goalscorer- good passer from midfield.

This one baffles me a little
They will be 3rd or even 4th choice when it’s a Hail Mary throw of the dice, it’s crazy that people think Madueke would be a better bet than Palmer or Foden. Saka has that spot nailed down and if he gets injured we should rightfully change the system as the next best isn’t good enough to be a starter.
