Let's look at it this way, previously managers have always picked the best players. ( On paper) and we've won nothing, so let's see how picking a squad that maybe revolves more as a team goes on.
Personally I agree with the omission of Cole and Foden and the inclusion of Toney.
I honestly think Toney could be an international star in the making, cocky, full of confidence and knows where the net is
He’s been awful, like playing with 10 men when he’s on the pitch. He had a couple of decent performances in the CL but my heart sinks when he’s brought on as subWas he? Barely made it past the hour mark in the games he’s started and failed to deliver
Toney should be nowhere near England squad been playing at a level thats barely above Sunderland Sunday morning league Dvision 5
Unfortunately I agree with you. While I agree with this on Toney, he’ll inevitably only get 5 mins max at the end of games and therefore not make the impact required. Not a criticism of Toney, just how international football plays out.
After game week 11 he has played over 65 minutes in a premier league game 3 times, he’s scored 2 and assisted once. I’d argue he’s been average at best if you look at his stats but open to be educated.Arsenal barely missed Saka because Mudueke was playing very well.
Palmer and Foden are 2 of my favourite English players to watch on form. Amazing skill and version. The pair of them have been way below their previous form this season. Both can have no complaints for being dropped unfortunately.
That was 2 years ago, he's been playing exhibition football since.
He proved he can perform at the highest level, and was excellent when used, (criminally underused in my opinion) at the last Euros.
It’s a brave call this squad, because at the moment he’s made some potentially very poor decisions
Probably win us the cup now
Out and out winger (so more suited to the specific role than Palmer) with pace who has had a decent season at the title winners. Meanwhile Bowen is about to get relegated and a not insignificant number of Hammers fans would say he's not had the best season. Also played nearly twice as many minutes as Madueke so may be at greater risk of fatigue. It wouldn't have been a massive surprise to see the choice go the other way, but it's hardly a travesty in my view. What's Madueke done to be deserving of a place? I'd rather have Bowen or Palmer
I thought that the squad is reduced again shortly before the tournament, or is this the final number?cut again ?

An Arsenal fan disagrees with you mate re decent season.Out and out winger (so more suited to the specific role than Palmer) with pace who has had a decent season at the title winners. Fully capable of reading, ta…Decent enough indicator
Well claiming a penalty shootout win in a cup game against their U21s is a stretch for starters. And games were won despite him throwing one in our own net at SJP not because of it
Since you’re incapable of reading, it was me agreeing with someone saying he’d rather have onien than burn in said England squad
