not this shit again.............Rules are rules and must be followed alreet, but isn't it remarkable how swift and terminal the decisions were made in the case of Southampton? With potential catastrophic consequences for the club, that'll set them back for years for an offence hardly distinguishable from something as trivial as scouting? Reminds me of the severity of Sunderland's troubles in the 50's for an "offence" even officially legalised just a little afterwards.
How does it compare to the hundred or so charges of citeh that's been dragged on for years and still no sight of conclusion?
And even then, weren't they just trying to copy what Chelsea did successfully earlier, who seem to have gotten away with their own set of "irregularities" with little more than a slap on the wrist?
Anyway, I remain a simple man, so I'm in camp red n' white.

This Tuesday a poignant moment in time. My friend’s Dad’s funeral, the bloke who got me interested in Swindon. Passed away at the ripe old age of 97.
I will be deep in thought for sure and ironically will think back to that first game against the mighty Owls. Yes you also have blood on your hands
One day my friend and we will both have great times again. Until then York City will be a new ground and Port Vale for near on 14 times will be revisited. How the mighty live

Southampton decision makers are having a mare. They're pretty much getting everything wrong. I don't think they realise how badly this could finish up for them a year or two down the line.

For me the stand out comment from the ELF's judgement is'
“We have concluded that there was, on the part of the respondent, a contrived and determined plan from the top down to gain a competitive advantage in competitions of real significance by deliberate attendance at opposition training grounds for the purpose of obtaining tactical and selection information.”
"Competitions" plural.
The chances are that Southampton were at it for a significant part of the season - It's not just the three instances that they were done for. I think that this points to there being not just the CCTV evidence against them.
If someone (perhaps a disgruntled Championship Club) makes a formal complaint to the police there's a prospect that they could end up getting involved in this. There was after all hundreds of millions of pounds to be gained and what Southampton did could well be regarded as conspiracy to defraud. They even got pretty close to "winning" the competition before being tumbled.
