Coventry

Been little no no issues in the past 4/5 fixtures.

It was a symptom of two big clubs rattling around League 1 craving a bit of drama after playing the likes of Scunthorpe, Fleetwood and Accrington Stanley each week.

However, I've said on here before, I welcome any type of rivalry with any club. I'd rather play Sunderland in a game with a bit of needle than Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford etc.

Rivalries and stories are what makes football. It's the same with Boro and Southampton. There is a story and there will be hatred from both sides going forward. Makes for a better occasion when both sides play each other.
Two big clubs😂😂😂

I hope all 3 promoted teams are hopeless. Not for any hatred or rivalry, just self preservation
NOt me I'd like 1 to be hopeless and two to have a go to try and change some of the staus quo and get some of the arrogant entitled clubs sucked into relegation like Spurs - if you are ran well and do reasonable investment you have a 85% chance of being fine from our current position. **** 100% of 85% facts are the writers opinion

Interesting to see what they do. I reckon they won’t be easy to beat early doors
Will be very interesting to see what they all do over the summer.

We went for a big name like Xhaka and it worked to perfection for us. Burnley did the same with Walker and it failed miserably for them. They have to buy smart and buy right, all the while competing with other clubs. I won’t write them off like everyone wrote us off last summer, but replicating what we’ve done is on the verge of impossible.

If you guys want to waste 36 mins of your life, then have a look at this.
I'm sure it was the same for the City of Sunderland last year, with a football club uniting the whole population in celebration.

Imagine having a manager bigger than your club. Would absolutely hate to be "Frank Lampard's Coventry City".

I have no strong feelings about Coventry. I shall weight them up as I will all of our opponents when I see what sort of a squad they have in August. Which was what everyone failed to do last year when they declared us to be relegation fodder about five minutes after the final whistle at Wembley.

I still think Brentford will struggle next season.

Three promoted teams will be chod as well I think. Surely can’t have any money to spend, any of them….. Coventry might have some team spirit which might get them close

Long since forgotten our faux rivalry. Feels like the intensity was mostly league one anxiety from both sets of fans

Hope they do well if only to continue bucking the trend of promoted teams going straight down. It’s another club who hasn’t been in the prem for a while.
Nah, fuck that. Straight back down with 17 points please..
Two big clubs😂😂😂
Delusion….

We will see but I have a feeling that us & Leeds are the anomaly and Burnley this year (and 6 from the previous two campaigns) will be the norm for promoted clubs.

They’ll need to replicate what we did in the summer, spend every penny that you’re going to earn but more importantly spend it wisely on quality and value. That was the best part of our summer recruitment, not gambling but doing our homework on players and ensuring they’d fit with the ethos of the club and Reg’s style of play.
