Southampton spying compendium thread

Kicking them out was a sporting decision and absolutely correct. Reinstating Boro is a financial decision so they can still have their big money earner.
Sky, BEINsports et al., will have wanted the game to go ahead, as will the FA and all the bars around Wembley. I feel a little for Hull in all this. Boro have no Conway or Hackney and haven’t won many games last few weeks, I give hull the ever so slight edge.

Tbf, the EPL would have wanted it to go ahead as well.

Hull have three days to prepare while Boro have had about a week. Advantage boro imo

Morally wrong but how Boro have the nerve to say they lost a two legged tie because of someone standing near a tree filming abit of training on a iPhone is shameful
Its not shameful at all its blatant cheating that gave them a massive advantage and I'm over the moon they've been kicked out. I mean they brought in a law just to deal with this type of thing...what kind of f***ing braindead people would risk the biggest game of football by trying to flout that law? Absolute stupidity of the highest order.

You say they won't have gained much of an advantage, but clearly they've done it a lot and have went from being dog shit to having near the best form in the league.

I don't like Boro, but they were cheated and should be at Wembley.

Why would Southampton do it if it wasn't to gain an advantage in the two legged tie?

I can't understand any argument saying that it didn't help Southampton win. Of course it did, that's why they did it.
Why don`t they just watch Boro`s games on the telly and analyse those?? No need to be so subversive.

It's a right mess, saints fans have booked hotels and trains. Talk sport have said kickoff may need to move earlier on police advice. That could mess up a lot of Hull fans booked travel.

Although I was at the match which Swindon deservedly won, I cannot recall what exactly Swindon had done wrong and whether demoting them was reasonable.

That said, may a car could have been made for us having a playoff against the third bottom relegated team in the Prem or 1st Division if it was before Prem days. Long gone now though.
IIRC Swindon were paying players without tax and NI deductions. A bit like us in the late fifties
