Tom Burwell

"And then, our players walked straight to the travelling Sunderland support as always and saluted them. Every single one. No prompting. No agenda. Just a group of people who know exactly who they play for."

Fuck me, we've invented players clapping fans at the end of a game now.
Has he implied that or is he just saying they went over to clap the supporters unprompted 🤷🏻‍♂️
What did he say that was so bad?
He's not David Bruce so some people are a bit upset that a businessman uses LinkedIn.

Is it unprompted though? Every club does it after every game, it's not like they've just came up with the idea on the spot. On the topic of LinkedIn, there's nothing wrong with the platform. The issue is the word salad people come out with when they log in.

He's not suggesting they came up with it, just saying they didn't have to be told to do it basically. I think you're reading into it too much

Class.

Burwell won't give a fuck about this

He will though spout shite about how the fans are his number one priority etc..

Like i said, he's full of shite

I was keeping an eye on it earlier and for ages it was the only comment he hadn't replied to and had blatantly ignored

There's been a few more since that he hasn't replied to as the comments have increased, but it was telling.

Of course theres a strong connection between the people of Sunderland and the club - there always has been.

It's people like him who thinks it's a commodity that he can exploit and manipulate. Worse, he thinks he's cleverer than the supporters and that he can get away with it. No different to Donald and Methven.
