Anyone not wanting Europe?

I don’t think it’s necessarily pessimistic to voice concerns, there were times this season when we were down to the bare bones with injuries. We would need a much stronger squad.
It would be great to see us in Europe but we would still need to ensure the league was the main priority.

You only have to look at the reaction of the players to the win yesterday to see that Europe's on their radar. If they want it us fans should really want it too. It would be madness to throw it away now that the chance is there.

Want it badly after years of dreaming.
Finishing above the mags too would be great but if neither happens it's been a great season and my glass is very much half full.
Lowest we can finish is 12th....I can't think of another season we outperformed vs expectations so much! Maybe the first 7th under Reid and '73.

What standard would early round opposition be in the conference? Genuine question but I’m guessing pretty low?

It works on a Swiss League type system. The teams that qualify for the group stage are put into pots by UEFA rankings (I think it's 3 for the Conference, as opposed to 4 for Europa and CL). Every team plays two teams from each pot, so we'd have at least two matches against one of the better clubs.

When we were down to the bare bones we didn't capitulate did we? We did ok during the AFCON period.

Two or three extra players and we'd be fine. Even if it meant finishing 14th or 15th to have a season in Europe then it's worth it!

Aye same lads last May saying it is too early to get promoted to the Prem.

You can't pick and choose when you want to get into Europe, just need to grasp it when you can.

We should be factoring in that playing in europe may be the only way to keep players such as Roefs, Mukiele, Diarra, Sadiki, Le Fee......clubs will come knocking for them after their performances this season.
It's usually the lack of squad depth that hinders teams first time in europe.......if RLB can conjur up more great deals and bring in additional quality we could have another brilliant season.....it's a no-brainer for me

What will be will be. If it does or doesn't happen, fair enough. Great season.

But you can forgive people for dreaming surely. It's been 53 years. A couple of generations. For many its been a pipe dream that always seemed unlikely.
Since we last played a European game, nearly half the f***ing 92 of the football league have qualified for one European competition or another!!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but also, let's grasp any opportunity as it comes.
Who knows when the next opportunity would come!?

Why would anyone not want Europe? Utterly bizarre if anyone actually thinks like that. Aye we need to strengthen the squad but we have the summer window coming up.

Right up there with "im looking forward to winning some games in the championship if we get relegated". Aye, but we ended up in League One.

Ipswich in the early 2000s are the only team I can remember it happening to. Surely we shouldn’t be afraid to qualify based on what happened to one team nearly a quarter of a century ago.

Look at Forest this season. They had a nightmare with managers and went deep into the competition but ultimately still stayed up fairly comfortably.

Imagine if we had European games thrown into the mix at that time?
I’m not against it by the way I’d love to see us in Europe just saying we’d need a much bigger/stronger squad. I’d be happy finishing 15th and having a run in Europe no doubt about it, as long as it doesn’t put us in any danger I’d be over the moon.
