Can't we scrap the honours system? Its open to corruption and we should be beyond this sort of elitism in the 21st century.

If we have to keep it then we shouldn't be giving it to people who present TV shows or kick a football around but people who make meaningful impacts upon society.

Seems likes he's worked hard for it like, he's into absolutely everything. Money made from actual football is probably a small percentage. Never got the hate, it's not his fault he was class at footy and good looking. Jammy bastard🤣 he's like one of them annoying kids that's good at absolutely everything

Some people are utterly obsessed with it. I have a mate who spends his whole life just trying to make as much money as possible often to the detriment of spending time with his family. He’s not even that rich, I mean he has more than me but he’s not living the high life or owt. I just couldn’t be arsed, I work enough to pay the bills and live a normal life and I have little to no interest in being rich. Everyone’s different I suppose.

A fake bloke. Crying while standing in line to see Queen Elizabeth, documentary after documentary for “brand Beckham”. He’s gamed the system like so fair play I guess.

Sportswashing Qatar with that Ambassadorship. His Saudi ties are not to same extent in fairness but he's seen mixing with top Saudi dignitaries at major sporting events across the Gulf region.

The really sad aspect to this story is on the nature of money. It's not that he has created the wealth for himself (one can't blame that) - it's the level of consumerism that has thrown this amount of cash in his direction.
