Have I read this right or is it daily mail sensationalism?

Guy is stabbed and chased after offender, police arrive and arrest the victim of the stabbing because the perpetrator alleged he was racially abused? The guy stabbed dies in handcuffs.

Isn’t that absurd?
 

I've always thought it mental that Sikhs have a religious exemption from laws against carrying knives, especially when that particular religious obligation can be fulfilled without using a lethal offensive weapon.

He's surely going down. Whether the racism allegation is true or not, there's no level of racist abuse that justifies stabbing someone.

Hopefully, the coppers get sacked too. It's not absurd; it's an aversion to carrying out their duty and upholding the law.

In fairness to him Paulden was the made up name and Polanski his original family name. Its not like he changed his surname to honour the child molesting film director.

There's no excuse for changing your name from Dave to Zack though.

The lad that was stabbed was chased and stabbed again multiple times while trying to escape.

Stabber tells police he was racially abused (sounds like it might be made up reading that), so police cuff the lad who has been stabbed in the lung and multiple times in the legs. Lad tells them he's been stabbed and is dying. Stabber says he hasn't been stabbed and had racially attacked him. Family hide the knife. Cuffed lad dies at the scene.
 
You know that wokeness has jumped the shark when the police arrest the victim of a stabbing as he is bleeding out in the street, on suspicion of racism.

It is a cancer upon our society, it blights all common sense, for some reason we have allowed racism (which is a terrible thing) to become public enemy number one. It’s apparently worth letting someone die over.
 
its clear that the police have turned up, seen one man (non white) with a bloody knife in his hand another man (white) with stab wounds all over him, and have decided to arrest the person with stab wounds on suspicion of racial aggravation as they are so woke that they think being racist is worse than stabbing someone. the coppers easily deduced all the facts of the situation instantly and were scared of being branded racist so they arrested the man who was dying and released the man with the bloody knife

No bloody knife in the hands of the stabby murderer,his mother had taken the knife from him and had ran off to hide it,she is also getting done for assisting an offender,the knife was eight inches long.

So it's not as clear cut as is being made out here..

The offender got caught and prosecuted despite trying to hide his crime, are the police getting any praise for that ?
