Boro thread

So if this is a Boro thread we can talk about owt Boro? Anyone read Battling for the Boro? Seems Sunderland over the decades have had loads of ding dogs at boro away, some at home. Is it safe to say boro away 85-90 was almost a no go zone?

I've read it mate and the kid who wrote it is pretty fair tbh. Went to Ayresome in the early 80s and it was an eye opener. They used to give us two corners of the away end separated by seats in the middle with Boro fans in them, which lead to all sorts of shenanigans. It might have been '81 where we took that many we had both corners and some of a paddock near our fans. Cue non stop battling all over the ground.

Boro create an awful lot of chances
This gives them a big chance in one off games if they “ click “ -like they did two matches ago scoring 5 at home
HH missing is massive for them -if he was playing I think they would do it .
As we know -anyone can do it
From our perspective I hope it’s Millwall or Hull as are least likely to invest and therefore struggle next season .

Wasn’t Jeff Winter rumoured to be part of that crew? Did he ever ref us?

They had Lee Harrison as well didn’t they? (Hooligan X for all ravers on here -who died in a weird over seas drug deal IIRC) plus Bam Bam?

CANT remember which team it was that got caught “spying” on oppos , was a few years ago. They got fined 200k. But back then there was nowt in the rules regarding this. There is now. Too late to do anything pre semi final sadly but…., 19 games unbeaten !!! Makes you wonder 😳

Hope Boro do it and win at Wembley then take 6 points off the head choppers next season
And 6 points off a certain other North east team would be really welcome
😜😜
