Stocks n Shares ISA

anybody ever had any joy transferring a Vanguard S&S ISA to another provider cash ISA ?
Daughter has sum of money with vanguard, likely to need it in 2 year I guess so ideally want it in cash now
Vanguard say a transfer can take 6 weeks , in which time its probably exposed to any market falls , so unsure if im better off just biting bullet and selling it now

thanks in advance

Could just put it in STMM in the S&S ISA if it's going to be a chew. If you do go ahead I'd think the 6 weeks is a guesstimate. Depending on the amount I'd think twice about selling it

Is this a relatively smaller value & now getting stung by the new fee structure?
If the value of that, plus what she intends to invest & save in ISAs for the current tax year is under the £20k, then just withdrawing it, a placing it elsewhere would be an option which will only take a few days.

presses sell

its only £20k but its her savings for house deposit so be gutted if it were to go down to say 14/15k , may well need the money next year and if not will def need it year after.
to be fair bank savings are getting about 4.5% so thought safer to sell it and just bank it for 2 year til needed

vanguard just seem to be a pain if trying to transfer it to another isa

Does she not have a LISA as well? I don't know all the rules but it seems to be a no brainer for young'uns for house deposits.

If she doesn't want to be exposed to the stock market, just hoy it in a UK gilt that matures in 2 years time. Same difference as a cash ISA, more or less.

Up almost two grand today
I've been in this long enough to not celebrate anything. It up and it down. If you post every change it'll get proper dull.
Up 500 today and 1500 this week. Not bad.
Rebalanced after doubling my money in a year. Didn't want to be back on in a week saying I'm back to square one.
Being back to square one is the norm some years.
