Isidor - away according to The Sun

We are feeding our strikers/CF on little else but scraps
Our fans love Brobbey because he is big and strong and puts himself about. RLB and pals like him because he defends/presses from front. Our defence/difficulty to break down has largely contributed to our survival.
Like to think next season we will play football that is nicer on the eye and we give opposition teams something to think about
Isidor is rapid, has a good first touch and unafraid to have a pot, as we have seen in the past. His goal against AV exemplified this quality.
He has a great pedigree and is still quite young.
If ( and I sincerely hope we do and need ) we are going to be more attacking and adventurous next season I think it would be a mistake to peddle him.
A few knee jerk fans want him gone ( this season ) because he has on occasions looked disinterested etc, but fact is he has been used sparingly and rarely and left to chase lost causes most of the time.
Many talk about needing new goal scoring wingers but the emphasis needs to be on us lifting out attacking and creativity and lessening reliance on Xhaka. We have, imo , 1 very good winger in Talbi.
It is really on our coaching and Ghisolfi to rectify this shortcoming for next season

Saw £25m and I was immediately like ‘yes please!’

Then saw it’ll be reduced.

Anywhere in the region of £20m will be accepted imo. Perhaps even £15m + add ons.

I think this is about right. I like Isidor and think he's a good impact player at this level but people massively overrate our players on fanciful projections rather than evidence.

He's never been a 20 goal a season striker in his entire career - not in Russia, France or even the Championship. The idea that he's capable of that in the Premier League has no merit.

We paid about £5m for him and he's not drastically improved since he arrived imo. We got him for a bargain though, he's proved he can play in English football and he's still more than good enough to be part of the squad here though so I think the £20m mark seems about right.

Seems to be a pattern emerging with Wilson. Signed on loan and looked dynamite, then got his permanent move and dropped off massively with Mayenda taking over towards the end of last season.

Looked shite this season but has picked up a bit of form when he’s looking for a move in the summer.

Not good enough for this league but wish him all the best, especially for the goals he scored last season.

The great shame for me is not trying Isidor alongside Brobbey. He would be far better than Diarra imo.

Brobbey as our sole attacker just leads to all in wrestling matches with centre backs. His hold up play would be far more productive if he had a strike partner carrying a goal threat.
100% this ^^^^ Isidor has only 1 goal less than Brobbey this season despite playing 600 mins less.

Don't play to his strengths. If we go big on another striker who relies on pace, and wants the ball Infront of him, he'll end up pretty much warming the bench whilst Brobbey has it all to do with his back to goal, 15/20 yards away from the opposition box.

There needs to be a change in tactics to get the best out of certain types of striker. At least a plan B to mix it up a bit for next season.

Agree, we need a change because the goals for column is not acceptable. On either side of Brobbey we need wingers that are a goal threat in themselves. Also we cannot have more goals coming from our defenders than the midfield as it is at the moment.

Love the bloke, hope he tears it up at the world cup both for him and his transfer value if he is looking to move on.

I still rate him but we haven't played to his strengths most of the time this year. Would love to see him stay if we were to add more of a fast breaking style of play to our repertoire next season.

He's gonna have a hell of a video on You Tube for his new fans! Some fantastic goals and been a huge part of our success. I think he will leave to seek more football as he maybe realises we will likely sign another forward this summer. Could see Turkish clubs paying big for him or even Saudi if he fancies the salary.

I look forward to the threads whenever he scores for another team.

If he leaves us he will definitely get goals somewhere else.

Very much a confidence player in my opinion though and not strong mentally, so he will end up a massive success or total failure and not something inbetween.

Personally I want him to stay, but if he isn’t happy here I would understand why we would let him go.

Agree. I've got a feeling he could be one of those purple patch players who have a a spell of games where everything goes in. A Warhurst or Ricketts or Bamford etc. Not that he's a carthorse like that lot. Just not top end.
His career tracks like this, he normally moves clubs has a spike goes off the boil gets a move has a purple patch etc and repeat.

Agree with most of that. But I will say he does disappear, often going for long periods of a game without even touching the ball. That's not just his teammates providing bad service. You need to start working hard for yourself, and I don't see him doing that enough. He went through a spell, perhaps around the time of Arsenal at home, where he was working extremely hard, so he is capable of it.
