Ballard

It's not my interpretation, it's in black and white from the FA.

'WHEN NOT CHALLENGING FOR THE BALL' and 'DELIBERATELY STRIKES'. Anybody that thinks Ballard A) wasn't challenging for the ball and/or B) was acting deliberately, needs their head checking. Obviously pulling hair with intent is violent conduct, but in this instance you cannot tell me that was the intent.
The PGMOL have decided that hair pulling in itself would be treated as violent conduct. The need for intent is not mentioned. I think most people accept Ballard’s action wasn’t a pre-meditated act but from the PGMOL’s pre-season blurb no mention of intent is included.

Im still angry at that lass on Saturday's Sky Sports covering our game, she said 'exactly' Ballard grabbed his hair and pulled him to the ground.😳

Anyone got any idea of how long the appeal process takes?

If it was successful would it be heard in time for Ballard to play at the weekend ?

We should win on the grounds his hair wasn't tied up.

That's the problem. How can a rule such as that be enforced if the player is swinging his hair round like a f***ing mermaid.

Hair in netball must be tied. so why not football...

Mermaid? I was thinking helicopter… if he swang it round much more he would take off

Hair nets or hair cuts next season. It's a workplace environment at the end of the day and should be treated the same as earrings and necklaces.

If someone gets whipped in the eye of one of those long dreadlocks and goes down, then there's no reason why that player shouldn't be sent off for violent conduct under these current fuckwit rules.
^This. All day long.

Violent conduct has to be while not trying to play the ball. Which makes this decision ridiculous because he was definitely trying to play the ball.

If it was serious foul play that'd be a different matter

Man utd didn't. But it also wasn't overturned
Was the same ref in their case too was it not.
