Rampant negativity

Randy Savage

Striker
WTF is it with some folk on here, and some at the match.

We’ve stayed up with three games to spare, we’ve won plenty of games at home this year, we have a squad worth a good few bob, and we seemingly have scope to invest again in the summer.

Are we playing brilliantly? No. Could we do with a bit more creativity and threat? Yes. Are we going to miss out on Europe? Probably.

However, we have done brilliantly all things considered, and Regis is not an idiot. He’ll know what needs to be done in the summer and he will do his upmost to address our deficiencies.

Let’s have a bit of positivity man. Christ, some on here must be gobbling Prozac like they’re in short supply.

Oh and we beat the scum twice.

A few where I was stood today were so negative, mostly just too many beers I put it down to though...

Can't speak for the matchday crowd but there definitely seems to have been a Mag-esque sense of entitlement that has kicked in on here over the last couple of months.

Got no problem with people giving out constructive criticism where it's warranted but some of the shite on here over the last week or so in particular has been embarrassing.

We've done fantastically well, far far better than anyone expected.

But, expectations have changed and rightly so. Europe has and still is there for the taking. We seem to be doing our very best to mess it up at the moment. That should have been a routine win for us today, Ballard's antics have cost us, if he has indeed purposely pulled the lad's hair. It's difficult to say. The red seems harsh considering it massively impacted the game, in Wolves' favour.

The negativity on here makes me want to pull my hair out. But then I'd get a 3-match ban.

It’s quite simple,

Too many bi-polar bellends on social media who want to be seen as uber fans when it’s going good,

But when it’s going bad, they want everyone sacked, not good enough.

Genuinely? I hazard a guess that a lot of the posters on the match thread in particular don’t have an awful lot going on so SAFC is pretty much their entire life, and therefore lose their minds when something doesn’t go to plan for them, which is mad really when we have no direct control over the events of the match.

And even more mad when you consider we’ve actually had a good season.

It’s started at matches. Too many people in away ends that were clearly not there in L1. People came up to me in New Street and said RLB has to go after that today. People don’t respect the league, they just think “they’re below us so we should win easy” because being honest they don’t watch games and understand the quality in every squad in the league.

Understand where you're coming from, but do you really think the lads on the pitch, RLB and the coaching staff etc are actually doing their best to mess it up? I'm 53 and have seen so many shit players, managers and coaches and these lads are not that. Are they perfect and performing at their best levels, absolutely not, but I wonder how many people are capable of being at their best day in day out even in jobs they love.

Can appreciate that with 10 men a draw is fine. However look at the state of Wolves. Half their team were jogging around including the big lump of a centre forward. I thought we played poorly in the attacking third, hardly tested the goalkeeper. If I'm Alderete I'd be kicking off. He has saved us some beatings and he must think who the fuck are our piss poor attackers? Improvements needed. And don't rattle off individuals and tell me they are quality...they can't pass a ball 10 yards into space with the correct weight on the ball!! Shoddy.

Today I was really disappointed in the VAR decision to send Ballard off ridiculous in my opinion. I thought we played well always tough 10-11 most of the match. Still over the moon how well our season has gone hope we close out season on a strong note.

No, I didn't mean it like that, surely you didn't mean I think they are self-sabotaging? In terms of your other point, I suppose that's what differentiates the best players from the good players, the top teams from the less so.

If we won that yesterday (and we should have had Ballard kept his head), we'd be in a fantastic position to qualify for Europe. We're not going to get a better opportunity than this season. Although I'd like to think this is just the start and we're going to continue to improve and get better.

I do think we need to smash through that barrier though, it's mental that a club of our size has not been in Europe since 73/74.

Rampant😄😄😄
Told you a million times not to exaggerate
Yes people are disappointed with the result, with certain players, with team tactics
No need to turn into some us and them
Or would you prefer a group hug, followed by a rousing chorus of kumbaya, and rejoicing whether you like it or not.
It’s a message board FFS
We have done well beyond expectations, of that there is no question
The last few games, FA cup exit, have been dispiriting to say the least. The football is not pretty to watch. There’s no getting away from that unless the philosophy is unless it’s positive keep quiet.. the North Korea option

I was watching match in the pub on the ipad, a old fella came up to the table as he was leaving and went to me, “manager will be gone after the season, disgusting being unable to beat this lot even with ten men”. I said to him “we beat these with 11 men on the field and have competed well with ten men, Wolves beat both Villa and Liverpool only 2 months ago at home”. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked out. I was frustrated yesterday at not winning but to want the manager gone for not winning against bottom of the league is pathetic. Stupid sending off cost us. The rules are pathetic and the ref Tierney was just as pathetic. Not one home player carded despite numerous fouls by Mosquera on Brobbey especially. yet he happily dished 4 cards out to us.

Some people just love to moan, it’s the inner brat in them
It’s entertainment at the end of the day, a game. It’s a non essential thing, people neeed to lighten up quite a bit
