I’m old enough to remember August 2025

The good old days when the cry was, it could be a struggle, so we will need to get behind the team and support them.

It’s never been a struggle, a newly promoted side that came up via the play offs have never been anywhere near the relegation zone.

Yet some, are throwing their toys, out of the pram all over the place.

They are the usual suspects, nothing will ever please them, if I’m honest, it boils my piss.

Same goes for a lot in our fanbase, people fuming because we didn’t win after playing with 10 men for over an hour.

I would love to qualify for Europe but it was always safety first, mid table is definitely the fair position for us this season.

Mid table was above my wildest dreams in August.

*some” seem to forget that whoever we play in the Premier League, their squads probably cost so much more than ours.

Does cost mean best probably not, but, other than the three teams promoted, all of the rest are established PL teams, with more experience of competing at this level.

We’ve competed against and beaten/drawn had decent results against many of those established teams.

Exactly - this is the closest we’ve been to the relegation zone since the end of September, and we’re still mathematically safe while many teams still have 4 games left to play.

Honestly, it’s so embarrassing on here week after week.

I’ve made a point of looking at posting history of people before I bother entering a discussion now.

Match threads are littered with users who are only ever posting when there is something to slag the team or and individual about. They are strangely quiet when things are going well.

I don't thibk today is too bad given we were playing with 10 for 55mins. Last week though...
Last week was inexplicably awful.
And everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong.
Like you say, playing with 10 men for so long today, meant it was an okay result

Could not agree more.

I won’t tag and name and shame them, I won’t give them the oxygen they crave, and the rational ones among us, know who they are.

Maybe the best performance by a promoted team in recent times, and we did it via playoffs and changed 90% of starting line up. Well done lads and all involved.

If we ever become successful I really think we'd be one of the most hated fan bases in existence......we've had a faint sniff of possible European football and people have just gone and hoyed the toys out the pram after we've dipped the last few games......pair that with the 85mins syndrome, general groaning and apathy if some one makes a bad pass and the pathologic desire to create a 'scapegoat' who everyone should hate

All successful teams have fan bases that are hated, would love to have that problem.
