Ballard

I’d be amazed if we even appeal and staggered if an appeal was successful.
We should absolutely appeal. Without sounding like a "conspirasee" theorist, I think it would get overturned if Arsenal appealed it for the sake of one of their key players this close to the end of the season.

I hope we see him again in red and white shirt.

He's the latest hate figure for some. Step aside, Luke, Diarra, Le Fee, Roeffs and everyone else who the boo boys have had a go at this season. There is always at least one.

Yes, he should have known better in the current climate but it's not going to make that much difference to our season.

Haway Big Dan Ballard. Come back next season bigger and better than ever.

Getting canny sick of reading 'well you shouldn't be grabbing shirts' online, their lad is 6'7 and an absolute wall, only so many ways Dan could hold his ground when the striker is backing into him

The hair pull was unfortunate but clearly accidental, same as the one on Cucurella by DCL recently

Tolu threw himself down like he'd been shot too, should have let the officials know it was an exaggeration imo

May be biased, of course

We’re not Arsenal and I don’t think they’d get an appeal overturned for this offence either.

It seems this particular offence is flavour of the month for premier league officials and when you watch the footage back Ballard definitely pulls his hair, intentional or otherwise.

Same ref who gave the one against the man utd defender too I believe

Can someone cleverer than me throw up last season’s picture of Ballard after the 120th minute goal in the PO S/F or the one after he scored that brilliant goal against potentially this year’s Premier League winners Arsenal or any of the too numerous to count times he’s thrown himself in front of goal bound attempts this season? The way some people are responding here, you’d think he’d put a tackle in that’s finished someone’s career. He’s made an error of judgement, intentionally or otherwise and will suffer the consequences, as will the team.

In terms of it being overruled, it won’t be but at least the PL officials (and to a much lesser extent tonights MOTD Experts) should have the benefit of the photos posted earlier in this thread where the same offence is seemingly not an offence, and comment accordingly.

Great player. Fantastic centre half. Watson and Hurley come to mind.

Let's agree to disagree. Absolutely no way a club in a title race get either:

A) this decision in the first place
B) don't get it overturned on appeal

In my opinion, of course.

If my old man told me off for being naughty when we were out , he used to threaten me with you’ll have to make your own way home 🤣

He probably ground you for pulling a girls hair as well.
But we are talking about a 7ft monster of a man getting his braids caught up in a tangle
I think we should appeal

Anyone who disagrees with this has never kicked a ball in their lives.
