PIF sports funding

Same. I hope they stay now, it doesn't have to cost them much now to just hang around. They can use the landfill to advertise all their brands. Ice Hockey Guy has said that the club needs to trade players far better than it has. Sounds like they won't just keep pumping share capital in to fund extravagant signings. Basically the orcs have sold their arseholes so the club can be run exactly the way Ashley was doing.
They only wanted a team that tries...they've got it. They try but generally aren't good enough.

IF they were to be relegated, unlikely but still possible, I wonder if PIF would stump up the cash like Ashley did to get them straight back up? To protect the value of their investment you'd assume they'd have to, but they might also decide to cut their losses and sell up.
The same financial restrictions still apply. I really can't see them spending billions on a state of the art stadium for them.
How much more dosh are they going to be able to increase turnover by from pulling £750m-1.5bn out to build a new stadium? The ground would take probably another 5yr to build and get fitted out. Even if they already had a site and the necessary planning permission neither of which they do.

It took 8yrs for a brick to be laid at the new Spurs ground from announcing the plans. 3yr to build it. Everton's took 4yrs to start building from time of announcement and another 3yrs to build, but were looking to move from Goodison for at least a decade beforehand.

Two new super stadia, both of which took a decade or so to create. The WC in Saudi will be here before they could realistic start to make this happen and 100% will be more of a priority than a new home for the orcish hordes.

The Saudis are like bored children. They never stick anything out, the 100 mile long glass city is now going to be 1.5 miles, that's if it ever happens.

The reason I've had from mags as to why they'll still be part of PIFs plans is that they make money whereas LIV didn't.

From what I can tell they've required a few cash injections just to balance the books and the recent stadium sale is another example of this, they're not making money either.
Yes, they've had a few instances over the last 18 months where they've created a £1 share and its been sold for something £115M quid. All in the name of "balancing" the books.

I hope they do pull out. For the superficial gratification of seeing the mags in tears, but mainly because at the end of the day that club, like us and all other football clubs in this country, is a working class social and cultural institution, and for the culture and history of our communities to keep being sold off for greed and corruption is shameful.

I hope they pull out of everything. I posted on LIV golf site thread many moons ago that I watched every USPGA tournament but when the scummers broke away i virtually stopped . It was around the time a merge was mentioned, which pissed me off. Credit to the DP tour and PGA stalwarts and I only hope the returners have a struggle on their hands.

The mags bit, well we know everyone will be suddenly claiming they were a part of that sportswashing group that have stuck by their principles.

NUFC, as a cultural institution with a social history within the community, ceased to be imho when their fans started protesting and heckling their MP, the FA, the PL and anyone else that would listen, to push through a deal, which had already fallen foul of the fit and proper person test at least twice iirc.

The fact the Al Sauds threatened to withdraw from arms deals to force BoJo's 🤡 hand and make the govt intervening to rubber stamp it was the 🍒 on the 💩 🥮 .

Everyone with even a modicum of critical thinking could see it for what it was. Corruption to force through a sportswashing venture.

Eh? So they want to be profitable now? They used to think that was a disgrace.

They were tracking for a £100m loss last financial year before selling their stadium.

I don't think they could ever turn a profit. They can only attract players by paying well over the odds on fees and wages - aka the Saudi tax - and they're too small a club to attract that kind of revenue from sponsorship or corporates. They're going to have to sell a load of players just to plug the gaps left by the absence of Europe money.

If PIF now need their investments to turn a profit, the mags will either be put up for sale or will be forced to wash their own face financially.

This takeover has been a disaster for them, and it's precisely what their craven fanbase deserved for welcoming this blood money without a murmur of dissent. I hope the Saudis peddle them to some asset strippers.

But they've won the Cawabow Cup.

PIF could not care at all about turning a profit, the kind of money they have building a stadium for the Mags would be peanuts, just loose change
They are really interested in sportswashing, simple as that, and they have been very successful meeting that aim, sadly
