Away Teams Hotel

I was in the Radisson a few years back when Palace stayed there. Horswill was in talking to Pulis. They were teammates in Hong Kong

Wise SMB, help settle an argument.

I was talking to a Newcastle fan earlier who insisted that away teams always stay in Newcastle when playing at the SOL.

Whilst this might have been the case last time we were in the Prem, I argued this is no longer the case.

Who’s correct?

Generally they stay in Newcastle, the decent one down on the quayside. Who cares though?

I'm sure I've seen pictures on socials of away teams on Newcastle quayside.

Mind you, I'm 99% certain Xhaka posted a picture of his family out for a walk on the town moor.
Yes he was (Xhaka on the town moor).

Barcelona stayed at Matfen Hall, Northumberland.

I recognised the Great Hall in their photos. I should do, I got married there.

Spurs stayed in the Crowne Plaza behind Central Station, a few others have stayed in INNside by Melia on the Quayside, think Forest were the last away team to be in there.

Away team always stay in Melia Quayside. Its a deal / arrangement in place.

However often teams playing Newcastle have stayed at Raddison Durham, Seaham Hall, Ramside hall and we didnt give a shit

At one point half of Newcastles players were living in Seaham or Durham & nee one said a thing.

I definitely would’ve swapped those moments when the German plank headed into his own net or when Brobbey slammed home the winner in their own back yard, for a group of lads doing their job to have been staying in a Sunderland hotel. Gutted here.
