I was talking to a Newcastle fan earlier who insisted that away teams always stay in Newcastle when playing at the SOL.

Whilst this might have been the case last time we were in the Prem, I argued this is no longer the case.

Who’s correct?

Your mate sounds like a typical obsessed Mag. Liverpool, for example, regularly stay at Redworth Hall. So he’s full of shit.
 
I'm sure I've seen pictures on socials of away teams on Newcastle quayside.

Mind you, I'm 99% certain Xhaka posted a picture of his family out for a walk on the town moor.
 
Not really relevant but I passed the Forrest bus driving back up to Scotland.

It turned off for pontyland.

It was doing 60 in the 50 so assuming they were worried about missing the flight 😅
