I agree. He has only just turned 20 (in March) and has already been first choice for a full Championship season, and two full PL seasons (plus associated Europa and CL campaigns). He’s also been a regular at every England age group from U-15’s to U-21’s. If Spurs go down then it’s looking very likely that he will going to Liverpool in the summer. Yet, the luminaries of the SMB have decided that he’s dog shit because he had a poor game a couple of weeks ago against Xhaka.
Roefs literally made one mistake all game. From memory it's his only error with his feet that has cost us a goal all season. There's been a ridiculous overreaction on here for some bizzare reason?
He wasn't against Xhaka. He was probably up against Diarra.
You can compare players playing in a similar role but they can be playing 50 yards apart and barely ever come into contact with each other.

He has scored one goal more than BB from
open play (2 of his 9 have been penalties). And his 9 goals overall have been responsible for his side gaining half the number of points that BB’s goals have been responsible for (4 v 8). One is a decent championship player in a poor PL team. One is a decent PL player in a decent PL team.

That's a comparison. You said they were playing against each, the weren't. They were both sitting in front of the teams back 4's about 50 yards apart.
It wasn't a Roy Keane / Patrick Viera battle from back in the day.

Yeah I would agree up until a point. They’ve signed players who cost a lot and seem to miss chunks of the season with injuries. Maddison, good player but always seems to pick up injuries. Solanke is another.

I’m pretty sure that Archie Gray and Granit Xhaka were playing against each other that day. You know I’m pretty sure that’s how football works - teams of 11 players (plus subs) play against each other.

Not every relegated player is a bad player. There's good value there.
They were, the same way as Roefs was playing against Kinsky.

I know what you mean, although I’m pretty sure James Maddison had come off 7 consecutive seasons in the PL and 1 in the Championship playing at least 75% of games until he got knacked playing for Spurs in January 2025, and he’s not really come back from that yet.

I'm not sure if you're on a wind up in this thread Keith but you're coming across as clueless mind. Gray is a quality player, he's played in the Championship, Premier League, 2 tiers of European football, every cup competition and at every level for England up to U21 level.
He'll more than likely play for England and has won a European trophy. He's 21 year old.
He'd be a brilliant signing for anyone but he'd be a statement signing for us.

I am basing it on watching him several times and thinking what is the fuss about? What is he actually good at? He's ordinary.
Spurs fans probably see there players as wasters and shysters. Gray probably puts a shift in so they like him. I just think he's very average and they've got absolutely nowhere playing him regularly as shown by their position on the league.
