Could Leicester go bust?

That's being kind, some reports say it costs 40 million a year to run
Yeah I’m just doing some reading into it now. Total mismanagement to build something like that with those running costs if you’re not bringing in top 4 revenues.

Unsure how many players will get moves given how much they’re on but Monga and Fatawu will surely need to be sold to cover wages alone. This could get really bad for Leicester

Wonder if we try and get Fatawu on the cheap to replace Traore. We apparently bid towards £30m for him last summer and got knocked back. Wonder how little they’d accept now?

Despite their poor season, his highlights this season still include some really good goals

Most, if not all, of these players are to blame for this though, think a lot of clubs will think twice before spending serious money on any of this lot.

We went through the same thing remember and had 4 years in league 1. We can smile maybe but shouldn’t be laughing it’s awful for the fans and the mismanagement of our club is so recent it’s still raw. We’ve had a good few years but we aren’t far away from going down and struggling keep grounded everyone.
I'm laughing because they were smug when they were PL Champions and tried to take the Mickey when they came to the SOL.

Yep agree, it's insane, I'm not sure I believe the 40 million, it could be true, there is a golf course there and none of its open to the public so it brings no money in.

They just remind me of us under our back to back relegations, they might find it as difficult as we did getting out of league 1.

From my albeit limited knowledge of their situation I’d say they’re worse off than us currently.

We had Short wipe a load of debt, yeah he then sold us to a pair of knackers but they got rid of a few problems early doors - Djilibodji, N’Dong, Rodwell etc. it was more what they did after that caused problems. We had some sellable assets, built a bit of a squad with the proceeds from Maja, McNair and then the slog began but we were always thereabouts. Just couldn’t get it right on the pitch/scouting or let’s face it, the dugout til KLD and subsequently Neil turned up.

By comparison, their squad is absolutely full of high earners who’ve just been relegated. Unsure if they had clauses but rumours abound Winks will remain on £90k a week for the foreseeable. They’ll make a few quid from James, Fatawu (we’ll probably still be sniffing about) but the rest don’t look particularly sellable. Their debt is much greater than ourselves, they’re facing a points deduction again and I’d say their revenue streams aren’t as good as ours were. Or their Acadamy.

TL:DR - they’re fucked, in comparison we were sort of salvageable

Same date were were relegated to League One as well.

Omens not looking good for them.

Can't see how they're going to offload any of their high earners.

Those infrastructure numbers are frightening. How can they have ever justified that? Even if they'd retained their top flight status? They've not really produced any home grown talent for at least a generation of players have they? I'm thinking Heskey would have been their last academy product of any note?

Made plenty off Maguire, Mahrez, Kante but they were all bought in and sold on.

I remember how shit I felt the day Burton put us down- they’ll be like that tonight. Next day I was reasonably ok- thought well at least we’ll be celebrating this time next year!!
