£75 Million

Is he even that good? Like he’s decent but I wouldn’t say he’s a world beater and for that price the only clubs interested would be the top end, think there’s much better across Europe when it comes to that price band

Their buying strategy last year was the opposite of what we did. Twice the price of fee for players who they thought would hit the ground running supposed to smaller fee & something to prove & hungry to do it. Most of our players came in to get first team football, move up a level or in Xhaka’s case, join a project. There doesn’t appear to be the same need from the Mags signings. & they’re left with a bit of a rudderless ship.
In their heads they are trying to regularly compete at the top of the premier league, so they're trying to buy elite players who will always have better offers (as they seen in the summer when Woltemade was their 6th choice striker). So the ones who do sign are likely following the money more than anything.

But even those players at some point would like to win things and play regular champions league football. It's the selling part the mags struggle with as it means they must accept they're not top of the food chain.

That stretch of time where every single target they had went elsewhere was beautiful like

They've always had an ability to grind out silly money for bang average players.

Gordon on his day is canny, but hes soft as shit and tumbles at any oppurtunity.

£75million? Id say jog on but then I see what Wissa and Woltemade cost and I can see how they came to the valuation!

Nar, he's a good player. He was good at Everton which is why he was 40 million and his stock has gone up since then. He's a regular England player who's still pretty young. He's a twisty fucker but so are a lot of Premier League players.
But is 12 goals and 7 assists over the last two seasons worth £75m?
I can see him at about that much. Looking in from a club like bayern, he gets goals both in league and champions league when happy. Less likely to down tools for a club like them is he
No way Bayern pay that much though.

Jawed Eye Josh reckons he’s worth 90
He's going to cry when he leaves
Personally I think Gordon is a reasonably good player. Don't think he's worth £75m but I think it's easy to lose track of prices these days.

I can only imagine some huge discontent if they signed out summer transfers instead of who they actually did. Few were actual well known names & didn’t command a huge fee to give confidence it was a good signing.

Statistically, he is one of the Mags better players but I do feel like he relies a lot on his speed to make up for being a bit lacking in other areas. He is very one footed and I'm not sure he has the other strings to his bow to breakdown a low block. Would surprise me if Bayern of all teams were going to pay 75m for him.

He's the kind of guy who you say 'get me 4 goals against FC Qarabag' and he'll say 'I'll get you 4 goals against FC Qarabag'

And he's the kind of guy who you say 'get me 1 goal against PSG' and he'll say 'I'll get you 4 goals against FC Qarabag'

I'm convinced when they replace howe their fan base will demand a "big name" manager irrespective of whether it's a good fit for them or not. I've already seen one mag on X saying they should be throwing everything they've got at Simeone in the summer. They're 3 points above newly promoted Leeds and Simeone is about to lead his team in to the champions league semi final

Whatever happens to him in the summer, I hope there’s another long drawn-out and bad tempered saga as it was hilarious watching them whinge last summer.
