He's really not that good. Can run fast & finish 1-on-1s, so looked great in Howe's system for a couple of years. When other coaches & defenders worked Howe's tactics out, they also worked Gordon out. No flair or technical ability to unlock a defence if he hasn't been allowed to spring the offside trap on the halfway line.

I really hope he stays at Newcastle, which tells you how much I rate him.

Nonsense that mind. If he played for anyone other than Newcastle people on here wouldn't be as negative about him. He's a regular England player, gets goals, causes havoc. We don't have a winger on his level.

He's scored 3 premier league goals in 26 games from open play this season.

He's scored 2 goals in 17 international appearances.

As usual the truth is somewhere in between people's widely divided views.

I personally would say ability wise he couldn't lace Jack Grealish's boots. But he might be able to run a bit faster.

I don't think I'm that wide of the mark, mind. In today's market, 70 million for Gordon is pretty realistic. I know my opinion is not popular on here but it is mainly because he plays for Newcastle and isn't very likeable. He is still a very good player. Let's just seewhich club he goes to. If he does end up at a big club there's a reason why they'll want him. Some people on here calling him 'shite' clearly haven't got a clue.
 
Surely Liverpool will be in for him, they're desperate for a couple of wide players and he can operate both sides, boyhood fan too.
 
He’s a good player who’s overrates his own ability. But he still could be a great player if things click going forward. He’ll be a miss for them and if they sell him for a similar price to what they paid for the flops they brought in last summer, they would be funny.

Haven't most just gials in the Premiership been penalties?Thought I saw somewhere that he hadn't scored from open play for ages ,before we gifted him that goal.
