Diarra lately

I was f***ing raging I’ll admit just after the chance and their goal, but when the dust settles you need a bit perspective. If that goes in he’s praised for being as cool as a cucumber. He’s flattered to deceive massively this season but I hope he doesn’t become a boo boy, we’ve got such a good squad of lads with fight that never say die so I’d hate to see one of them turned against. It was a very good save from the keeper as well even though it should clearly be a goal in that scenario. Let’s hope he makes up for it next week.

Very well said

You can’t praise him for that miss man if he smacked it and the keeper saved it or hit the most fair enough what he did was trying to showboat he could of easily rolled it to talbi to run onto it. It wasn’t even going to reach the goal even if it went over keeper

He's been better of late and had he scored I think he would have really cranked up his performance over the next 5 games. But the posters above are correct, It wasn't going in even if Martinez doesn't stop it

Watched his chance over and over and just think he waited a second too long expecting the keeper to go down but he didnt he stood up and was big

Think outside of his boot hard and low and its in

But suppose if the dink had worked we would of been over the moon

Ahhhhhhh man what a chance
It was very good goalkeeping and a top save. I find goalkeepers never get given the credit for saving 1 on 1s and instead everyone just slates the striker for not scoring.

A lot of fans always look to vent their frustration out on our players, instead of just giving credit to the opposition.

Absolutely embarrassing the way people are going on about this lad like. Back the fucker I'm pleased he's confident. I hope some of these ***** telling him to leave don't come back to the ground. Bellends
he’s confident no doubt, but unfortunately he hasn’t got the skill level to back it up

This post is spot on like

Don't see why you like him but yr a good poster so happy to be convinced
Hes got attributes to his game that are really good. He was excellent last week and he was good today at what he does well imo. He suffers when it comes to picking the right ball on the break etc and it looks poor.

His ball carrying is excellent for a centre midfielder and he does loads of the defensive side of the game well. Hes regularly the only player to get around the forward aswell.

Theres plenty to work with I think but will be next season now. Our fans never really give record signings or relatively big money signings more than 5 minutes before kicking off and getting restless.

Was it horlicks. He was far too late to lob the keeper by that point.

I thought he did all right. Talbi is behind him and he has already stalled to send Martinez down.

He tries to dink at this point and it's a terrific last minute adjustment from Martinez. Don't blame Diarra there. He largely did well and he's been great last three games. Still young, first season.

He isn't a reason to complain today.
You don’t blame Diarra for that? He’s one of the best keepers in the world and he’s tried to sit him down on and one-on-one. He’d just seen Isidor slide it low past him as well. Do that and the worst that happens is Talbi should get a tap-in for the save.

It a really poor decision.

Worst happens is he misses the goal actually.

Rooney: wasnt as easy as it looked

Isidor had a huge advantage that the keeper slipped. Not sure he gets it in that area without the slip. Changes everything.

he had lost his footing and made it easy for isidor. diarra was running straight at him. it's one of those things but martinez did well for it

Haven’t read the thread or anything but imo I think our most expensive signing in history has been the worst of the lot we bought this season. Fair enough he got a long term injury which takes a while to recover from etc. but what position does this bloke play? He’s been out wide, behind the striker, centre midfield he’s never impressed me once at all

What are you on about man with your daft laughing emojis?
Aye it’s not as bad as hitting the corner flag and what does Wayne Rooney have to do with it?

You said the worst happens was that its saved and Talbi taps in.. makes no sense. The worst thing would be his slot hits the post or misses completely.

Rooney has just said its harder than it looks with so much time to think. He would know.
