The end of todays game

I said last night that even a defeat has us still in the chase because of the other results. But to go from Diarra 1 on 1 with 6th in your grasp to then 11th. Its a sickener
Of course mate. I get the point of your post totally. It’s a total sickener but I just can’t personally relate it to other results where I felt like jumping off a bridge

I was upset at full time and for about 30 minutes after, but as I sit on the bus home I think to myself we're coming towards the end of April and we're still in the mix for Europe. Friday night is huge now in terms of that
Another big chance to make a stride for Europe. Could have been a pulling away moment though had diarra stuck it in.

I suppose the chance of us winning 3 on the trot was always very unlikely tbf.

Never said we haven't had worse days  just that it felt like a big kick ij the bolloxks and the games you mentioned are more than 3 years ago.

Of course i felt worse after them ffs

Nah its more the fact that one action away from potentially sitting 6th with 3 home games in our last 5.

That one attack has dropped us to 11th.

Eh? Who is angry? I'm just gutted because we were a 1 on 1 away from 6th.
You are angry man, angry at players, angry at results. Your posts show it.

Look at your match thread posts.

We are all gutted but, at times you go off the deep end, irrational.

Of course I was gutted at the final whistle but I'm more pleased/impressed with our battling spirit now, looking back. A few individual errors have cost us today but these things happen.

Thats my takeaway too. How many teams in the premier league keep going at 3.1 down at villa park. How many players can make that tackle AND that through ball Le Fee did for Isidors goal.

Villa have built a strong squad and are excellent at home and we went toe to toe with them. Rigg scored his first premier league goal. So did Hume. Isidor tends to go on scoring runs. Keep up that level of effort and we are going to have a strong finish to the season.

Well the first issue with that is that Millwall never beat us at Millwall under Mowbray - under Mowbray we drew 1-1 twice and equalised late on both times. Once was in his last game when Clarke scored a late penalty, the other was when Cirkin got concussed while scoring. So it clearly didnt make that much of an impression.

But since this game that never happened, and since Mowbray left, off the top of my head, Burnley and Port Vale this season, Leeds last season, Newcastle in the Cup, losing 5-1 at home to Blackburn, and losing 3-0 at home to Coventry to start the Michael Beale era, were all a lot more depressing.

Illustrated yet again the fine margins we’ve worked within all season. Over the last twelve months we’ve come out on the right side of late goals plenty of times, this time it went against us.

Diarra’s miss compounds the feeling of it being a huge missed opportunity but I’m sure the spirit in the camp will ensure the players are back at it on Friday.

 You don't like people posting stuff when it's something you want to take offence with. We've had this discussion before.

You look too deep into it. So much so that you've completely mistook what this thread is.

OP angry cos we have lost to a team who will be in the champions league positions and who will win the Europa league this year, oh and we were away from home as well

Unlucky and could so easily of won it

Least upset I have been all season just Gutted cos we got so close

What tosh.
People can post whatever they like.
That doesn’t mean I’m not entitled to have a different view, which is not to pap me pants and rage, like you do.

It's a good sign that we've just been promoted and are gutted after a result like today. It's nice to be gutted for a good reason for once. Still well in the chase and can throw everything we have at the remaining games.

What tosh.
Its not. You're going on about being angry and it's just a thread about being gutted we got so close to a fantastic result and 6th place 5 games from the end. It reminded me of the Millwall game that had an identical ending.

Hope thats okay

It's annoying more than anything and that simply comes down to the Diarra chance. But I didn't expect anything today and we were unlucky in the end

Not sure why people seem to think I'm angry or complaining about this mind

I'm just pointing out how close we were to being 6th. An unbelievable place to challenge for Europe and its a massive shame.
It's clear from your post mate, you're livid ;)
