You know what I love about this squad and manager, 3-1 down away to a good, established premier side, and we're still powering forward looking for goals.
We've been the better side for me but villa strikers are deadly, that's the only difference.
 
I think this is where we’re at tbh. Rapidly become a solid PL side, matching Villa on play overall. But we haven’t developed all the necessary areas to match the top handful of teams, and couldn’t really be expected to yet. Villa are where they are in the league due to clinical finishing and an absence of weak links. Matching them ‘overall’ isn’t enough at this level and that’s the gap that we’re seeing in creativity, clever touches and half-chances being seized.

Great form? Teams in Europe aren't the same level and league form they've been crap as they've got 1 win in last 6 against West Ham, losing against Wolves and only getting a draw against Forest.

We've made it easy for them for at least 2 of the goals and it's not just O'Nien, it's been other players also being off the game defensively.

Well worked but easy finishes doubt Watkins will have had an easier two goals in his career. Just bad defending after the build up something we’ve been decent at overall this season but defending in the box hasn’t been too good today.
 
Villa objectively are the stronger side and it looks like every one of their goals was picked off from bad defending on our spot. I’m not that devastated because we’re massive and doing so much better than I could ever have predicted. HTL
