Sadiki to Chelsea (internet chat)

Their all knobheeds these 'ITK' types but tbf Sacha the hair went on I think it was roker report? And pretty much got everything spot on with us so sadly I think this will be true but yeah Romano, him and others are just used by agents.
 
Need help in understanding player sales.
Player is worth a certain amount to current club.
A club comes in for the player a 2x that amount and the transfer happens.
Selling club receives their share, buying club pay their share. Where does the players salary get worked out? What leverage does the player have for more money once sold?

Not sure. We were speaking with Xhaka while Leverkusen were saying he wasn't for sale

buying clubs and players seem to speak and agree terms plenty before the two clubs agree anything

My understanding is that unless the player agrees he doesnt have to go if he has a contract and wants to stay
Some clubs have to pay a lumper to get players to go ( eg if the buying club Cant or won’t pay the same wage, the selling club will make up difference). This happened when we sold Kenwynne Jones to Stoke
If the Chelsea stuff is true I have no doubt wages would not be a problem
 
We need to get used to the fact that selling at the right time is essential.

Sadiki is a smashing player, but will generate a good fee (especially if Chelsea are interested) and is not irreplaceable.

The key thing will be to make sure that we sell in a way which benefits us - in a managed way, at high fees, and reinvested well. I'd be worried if say Roefs, Sadiki, and Brobbey all left at the same time.

It’s madness to think that the club and model that we are currently running would turn down a offer around £35m.

We paid around £15m , £17m with add ons which will not have been activated, So considering the figures it’s over 100% profit on one player in less than one season,

That is The Model

Absolute nonsense. You sell for the value. You don't sell him for £35m when he is worth more just because its 100% profit.

I’d be amazed if there wasn’t interest in Omar and Nordi tbh
Regardless we want to also make sure if we sell we do it nice and early so that replacements have a full pre season

He got the keeper wrong mind had him all but signed and didn’t seem that far along. He was proper dismissive of us I guess he’s from abroad and young probably had no idea who we were 😂

I'd expect it to be at least 10m more than that

Jobe went for 30m and had never played in a top league
 
I'd be sad to see him leave, however it is our model. We should rinse Chelsea for him, ideally 60m+, I had hoped he'd be out first £100m sale if he'd have another season with us. Love the lad.
