Sadiki to Chelsea (internet chat)

Adam Wharton at this moment in time is a lot better than Sadiki though

He’s also English which means his value is massively inflated

Wharton plays a position which sadiki showed he can’t really play (yet) whilst xhaka was injured. Some of the comparisons on here for justifying how much we will charge etc are miles off like
He's better, but a lot better? Wharton hasnt had a stand out season this season. Potential is huge though

Hopefully folks at the club and likes of Xhaka explain to him that if he stays another year he will have much better clubs making him offers than Chelsea. Don't dive at the chance of the first big pay offer.
Yeah, I’m not naive enough to think he won’t leave but it stings a lot less if he goes to a club that will kick on his career. Chelsea would purely be a money motivated choice imo, Man Utd less so with CL football but still there’s a chance they are also scrambling round for a manager in the summer. Another team with a “project” that seems to change every few months.

He’s been wrong before and sadiki would be mad to go there.
As much as I’d be sad to see him go I can’t see any way in which Sadiki would see a move to Chelsea as being ‘mad’.

He’d probably at least double if not treble his salary, he’d be guaranteed European football of some kind.

In all honesty his profile would increase and his chances of winning honours would increase massively (Chelsea in the last five seasons have won what four trophies ?, compared to our League 1 and Championship playoff wins).

Be surprised if any of the 'bigger' clubs are willing to pay a fee that we'd deem acceptable for now, not sure he's shown enough (yet) for one of them to be willing to pay what would most likely be over the odds.

Agreed. People are getting slightly carried away. I feel there’s going to be a lot of people disappointed with the fee if we do sell him like but then again there’s figures like 80 and 100 million getting thrown about on here

By the same token will they, at this stage, be prepared to give him a five year deal on upwards of £120K per week. Always risk involved but they probably look at him and maybe think let's get him now before he's costing £100M. I've no idea what sort of fee Safc will consider acceptable mind.

Whatever happens -shows how far we have come in 18 months
Our recruitment team have shown we are onto something special and listening to à Granit Nordi ànd Roefs this week they are likely to want to be here longer than we maybe thought ?
If we have to sell one ?-I would rather a midfielder than à keeper or striker ?
We have loads of good players -what a time to support safc

Because he’ll hardly play that’s why.

I agree Sadiki would probably be easier to replace than Roefs

Brobbey would be the hardest to replace based on how we setup

Only flip to that is we are on way up …..not sure Chelsea are ?

Power lies with us really, they pay the fee or they don't get him. They're more than welcome to look elsewhere. I wouldn’t begrudge Sadiki a move if he wanted it, but we need to benefit as well.
