Change the wording to "keep playing on" and you have the phrase he meant to say.

Yakin uses the verb "weiterziehen" (with Swiss accent), which means "carry on along the same path", "not give up". It is easy to see how it can be translated as "move on" and as such misconstrued.
Fully agree with Richie K. "Keep playing on" is a good translation of "weiterziehen".
