Sad day ahead on Wednesday as it's the funeral for Mad Eric. Taken a long time since his death as there had to be an inquest as he died suddenly, so it's time to raise a glass or two to a quite incredible man and give him a good send off.

I got a collage made up for him, they say a picture tells a thousand words but a million words wouldn't be enough to describe him @Jack Ford .

RIP Mad Eric 44 .

He really was good company and a very knowledgeable bloke
He could converse with anybody and wasn't averse to a drink or 30. Getting a" Sneaker" in, in between rounds was one of his specialities.

The general consens amongst my Middlesbrough supporting colleagues is that it's worrying how good Southampton are looking and they seem to have really hit their stride

I heard on the radio whilst driving to work this morning that Saints were 18 points behind boro on January 31st and are now level with them having won last night. What a run they are on, six consecutive Championship wins. They will fancy their chances at top 2. Always a team that rises from nowhere.

In terms of Ipswich, Tearoom Expert reckons "it's results like theirs against Portsmouth that make you look at all the draws against rubbish teams that have killed us".... It's the hope that kills you.
