I agree that we are a pretty attractive proposition now. That being the case, we should, with the added benefit of long contracts, seek to remain attractive to the existing top quality players that we have by committing to breaking into the top six ourselves.

Our improved situation should mean that we can attract other players of similar quality and/or potential to replace the least talented members of the squad and those who are identified as not having a future at the club (possibly/probably including Neil, Patterson, Jones, Alese, Cirkin, Moore, Isidor (?))

As may be seen from the above list, most of whom are not recruits from overseas, an issue that will need to be addressed, alongside attracting some of those listed in Ghisolfi's contacts book, is ensuring that we have eight players who satisfy the Home Grown requirement and who are genuinely good enough to come into the team without a significant drop-off in skills and abilities. These come at a premium price.

He said on the interview with his Dutch mate that he is bored when he goes back to Amsterdam .He lives close to Newcastle I think and has is own chef he is settled by the sounds of it.

The market isnt set based on the fees the Mags paid. Majority of clubs know that the Mags vastly overpay for average players and that their fees have no bearing on what another might be expected to pay for a similar profile.

he does love it here , Reg has him playing the best football of his life. He's kicked on from his Ajax level and has proven himself in a tougher league. He won't turn down Bayern if they do offer but that's the model .

Off topic but I think Kane plays for years yet. Never been really quick and has a great football awareness and looks brilliant has he drops out of the 9. Think he could easy be a proper top end number 10
