The Tottenham conspiracy

No surprise at all mate, always have been....Spurs away at WHL last game of the season when Makin scored, absolute w@nkers setting about any Sunderland fan who had the temerity to be walking around "their manor" in Sunderland shirts.

It's rare that there's trouble in the town especially on a day like international fans day where everyone is in good spirits enjoying the city's hospitality but a couple mates left the pub before us and then messaged to say they were acting themselves outside the vault yard then we were to the Hilton post match but decided against hanging about because of the queue, stepped outside and 3 of them had surrounded one lad having a pop at him because he was singing and enjoying himself. Proper bullies mentality, barging him around and trying to get him to react. I was hoping someone would walk past and banjo the 3 horrible twats.

Sorry like but the Brobbey thing wasn’t a foul, as proven by the ref and VAR. Romero came to a sudden stop so Brobbey put his arms out to stop himself. If anything, Romero caused it.

The Brobbey elbow, may be my red & white tinted specs, but I’m positive the Spurs player stick his face into Bobbeys elbow on purpose to make it look like he swung it.

They were some of the worst cheating fuckers I’ve ever seen us play against. Disgusting.

Can’t wait for them to go down and implode.

I think you have red and white blinkers re the push tbh. It was a clear push. I'm not sure why people are saying it isn't.

Nah. he was using the push on the defender to prevent himself running into the keeper too, which would have caused much more damage.

Think about it, if you were a keeper, would you rather have one of your own defenders get pushed into you, or for one of your own defenders AND Brian Brobbey to charge into you?

Brobster did the humanitarian thing pushing the defender IMO. Should be given a FIFA Peace Prize for it.
He's also started less wars than the current FIFA Peace Prize holder.

Is a push an automatic yellow, or are people letting the injury blind their judgement?

Read the rules .... A push is a foul, that's all 🤔

'Persistent' fouling including continuous pushing could result in a yellow card but not a one off.

Violent pushing causing injury could end up being a red card but in that instance it wasn't anywhere near violent, no matter that it ended up in an unfortunate injury.

Correct decision.

The only conspiracy would have been if the penalty had been given, then I would be adamant the powers that be didn't want Spurs relegated.

I have been watching Spurs Podcasts and YouTubers etc. they are claiming the premier league are out to get them and there is a conspiracy against them😂.

Mind you I will say Brobbey should have been off after he pushed Romero into their keeper. The penalty was the right decision in the end.

The delusion😂
So that’s Spurs, Villa and Newcastle who are being conspired against. 😁
Just seems like they need a new bogeyman now they can’t lay their non European dominance at failures by Levy.

Personally think Brobbey catches him but it’s not a “swing” of the arm. I felt it was a natural movement to hold the player off and he’s unlucky he catches him in the chin.
By giving him a yellow for it ( though I read that the yellow might have been for the post incident reaction) it means it doesn’t get checked by VAR so the ref can’t have his decision scrutinised.

Hypothetically, could PIF buy Spurs if they get relegated, then sell Newcastle while spurs are still in the championship?

They'd get a distressed luxury asset for a steal, with a state of the art stadium, with enormous non football revenue. NFL, concerts, etc.
Spurs owners aren't going to sell the club on the cheap because they get relegated, they would obviously wait till they are back in the prem

I can’t be the only one who enjoyed Brobbey proper bullying a wanker like Romero, Romero was laying it on him all game and Brobbey just gave as good as he got. I appreciate there might be games where Brobbey picks up 2 yellows in these situations but I’m happy to have a player setting the tone by playing slightly on the edge like that.

Got a new found dislike for Spurs fans after today. Going on like pure ***** all day. Trouble outside the vault yard then going on like pricks again outside the Hilton after the game.

Hope they go down and never return.
Really?

I didn't hear any reports of trouble. And I would have if anything kicked off.

WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY?

CAN YOU SHOUT IT AGAIN. JUST FOR SOME MATES WHO MAY BE LISTENING IN RIYADH.

First card wasn't a yellow and whilst Brobbey did push the defender, the resulting collision was accidental.
Neither incident was a yellow.
100% agreed.

The push was arguably a result of Romero slamming the brakes on.

He needs to be more careful next time he plays. Whenever that is.

Same here. Was in the Hilton for half an hour after the game and didn't see anything.
Stinks of bullshit. My family are Spurs fans and I arranged with The Vault Yard for that to be the away pub. Went to chat to the lads on the door post match and they said the Spurs and Sunderland lads got on great and there was no problems.

What will fuck spurs more than anything is the fact that every club wants them to drop.

If they fail to beat Brighton on Saturday, I can see them being cut adrift quite quickly with some very tough games ahead.
